Wars of the Roses Campaign Record Sheet, Notes, and Rules Fri, 22 February 2008 20:06
Updated campaign rules and notes for the Wars of the Roses scenarios, and a new Campaign Record Sheet to record scores and progress, are now posted in the files section of my Battlelore fansite (you'll need to join the Yahoo group to get them, but it's a quick and easy process):

Don

2 items of note.

Hopefully you have fixed most of the documents. If not, when you make changes to them might be nice what, if any changed.

As for the new document / campaign map - just so I can place it on the campaign document, do the Lancasterians always play one side throughout the campaign or not ? If so, which side is it (standards or banners)?

Thanks
Cab

Yorkists always play Standards, though I noticed today I've got one that plays the other way. This will be fixed asap.

Still need to strip out the leader and artillery special rules into the campaign rules, and tidy up in terms of pdf printout Smile

Which adventure is the "messed up" one so I can reprint it when corrected?

Thanks

Scenario special rules for leaders and artillery (the only special rules needed other than the usual Battlelore rules) have now been moved to the last page of the campaign rules, and there is clear direction to them in each scenario.

The artillery misfire rules have been slightly tweaked - explosive misfires now have the potential to cause casualties to adjacent units! Two dice are rolled per adjacent unit with hits on banner colour.

Re:Wars of the Roses Campaign Map, Campaign Rules, and Office Cards Sun, 24 February 2008 23:54
I've added two 'Office Cards' documents (.doc and .pdf as normal) detailing the offices, their associated specialist card, and any other campaign effects. These can be printed onto card stock and cut out ready for play.

Don

I see the Artillery tiles are uploaded..but it seems the PDF version is different than the one that Affro I thought provided.
Could you double check it ?

Thanks

I took his updated tile from the thread where it was first presented. At least, I thought I did...

I'll relook at it and comment if necessary again about the tile, since I thought it was 2/2/1/1/1...

As for the rules, in the offices section for the Constable of the Tower of London, you might want to update the part about the rules for artillery saying they are later on in the document instead of in scenario 2376U.

Yes good catch, I'll sort that one. Of course, the scenario will direct to the real location of the rule in the meantime.

Re: Wars of the Roses Campaign Record Sheet, Notes, and Rules Fri, 21 March 2008 12:19
The campaign record sheet has been reworked, and campaign notes have been added to explain why scenarios have been grouped the way they have.

Everything needed to play the campaigns is posted at the fansite - follow the link at the top of this thread or underneath this posting.

The scenario historical backgrounds have also been updated to provide a clearer picture of where each battle originated. The flow of the wars is now easier to follow, and you should now get a reasonably complete sense of what happened and why from reading the historical backgrounds in sequence.
