Just checking, Has anyone been watching the World War II in HD series on the History Channel in the United States. It is well worth your time.

You can get information on it from www.history.com

I thought that Ken Burns series The War was great, but I feel this surpasses his series. I know that this is giving me a new perspective of war time situations.

I've been recording it and I am looking forward to watching it.
I had to watch "The Prisoner" mini-series with Ian MacKellen first (which was apparently on at exactly the same times).

BTW, I recorded WWII in HD in LP mode Rolling Eyes

Tried watching it but the little ones kept coming into the room... I don't mind them seeing tanks and planes shooting or even being destroyed but the battle and civilian dead is something they don't need to see yet.

You are right, very graphic.
However, might be a good view for school history classes, just to show what are the horrors of war.

Ditto! The story of Captain Charles-Scheffel healing up from his battle wounds in San Antonio was touching. His wife came to visit with no place to stay and a total stranger walked up and handed him a key to a local 5 star hotel's presidential suite.
Pass the kleenex please.
