Mortar SWA & Behind Enemy Lines Mon, 22 March 2010 03:28
Can you use Behind Enemy Lines with a Mortar unit and have the Mortar still fire after moving, given the special rules for Mortars firing or battling? Or does BEL supercede the rules for Mortar, as it does for normal Infantry? This came up playing the Vercours campaign. Logically speaking, it would seem unreasonable to allow a unit lugging a mortar around to move that much, but maybe it's just a matter of keeping the rules simple?

Check page 40 of the Official FAQ. Under SWA, it talks about this rule and says that yes, you can move and still attack. My guess would be this is to help keep the rules simple.

Have fun. Cool

Thanks Rasmussen! I looked in the FAQ under the BEL section, not SWA's before. Probably that answer ought to be in both sections of the FAQ.

Agreed. I looked under the BEL section too and didn't see it, but the problem I'm running into is that the BEL page is almost full...I'll figure something out. Cool

You could just put a page number reference for it possibly.

Good idea. I'll look at the space I have and figure out if a page number reference is the only way to fit it onto the same page.

Without a doubt, the FAQ is an excellent resource, even if it's grown to enormous size. Very Happy
