Downloaded, installed, then double clicking the program, causes a windows error that says "Memoir 44 has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

I am having issues with 64bit Win7 as well. What type of vid card? Try updating drivers as a first step. That at least got version 10 working for me.

Just bought one of the big dogs for my own early Christmas gift Very Happy
Nvidia 470 GTX.

I updated the drivers, still no luck Mad
Hopefully soon it will be addressed. I also tried running in compatibility mode for all the different ones from Win 95 up to Vista, still no luck.

There is a known issue with latest nvidia drivers. You can work-around it by setting 'Threaded Optimizations' to either on or off (but not default) in the driver properties.

Can someone give me step by step instructions on how to do this>? I have no idea how to find my driver properties ... (I am using Windows Vista if that helps).

Updating drivers is different for each video card, you have to go to their websites and download the latest.

Usually you'll go to the website, and go to support / drivers / downloads something like that and select your OS, video card type, and install / reboot.

As people have said, it varies depending on the graphics card and driver. There is no one step that will work for all.

Probably best to write up a bug report and they might be able to help you that way. Remember DoW can't reply to every thread open during this beta and using a bug report probably be the faster way of getting a response.

Yep, you need to file a bug report so they can answer your questions directly! Use the Bug Report Form and you'll get a reply much faster than here on the forum.

Good luck! Very Happy
