Here are proposals for the expected time-lines:
It is expected each tournament will be kept moving in a timely fashion. These dates are end dates when a match needs to be completed. It is hoped matches will be completed well prior to the end date. The next round starts as soon as the 2 players involved in the match are determined.
(If for some reason, a player needs an extension beyond the 'completed by' dates listed, each TD (onyx puffin, Angle6,& AGT DN) are to be informed of this notation, with a copy to the other player involved.
SPWC 2011
ROUND 1 (up to 64 players) May2-May 10
ROUND 2 (32 players) completed by May 17
ROUND 3 (16 players) completed by May 24
ROUND 4 (8 players) completed by May 31
ROUND 5 (4 players) completed by June 7
ROUND 6 (2 players) completed by June 14
EMC 2011,
ROUND 1 (up to 32 players) starts May 2, completed by May 17
ROUND 2 (16 players) completed by May 24
ROUND 3 (8 players) completed by May 31
ROUND 4 (4 players) completed by June 7
ROUND 5 (2 players) completed by June 14
SMC 2011
ROUND 1 (up to 32 players) starts May 2, completed by May 17
ROUND 2 (16 players) completed by May 24
ROUND 3 (8 players) completed by May 31

Question:
in the last years we gave 2 weeks of playing time for the first round of the smaller tournaments EMC and SMC.
(So all tournaments ended in the same week)
Is there any special reason why we don't do the same this year?
Reasons why I favour the old regulation:
*) The first week is the hardest to schedule (no possibility to arrange dates in advance, as you don't know your opponent till the first playing day)
*) Players who play all 3 tournaments are certainly "still in" in all 3 events, and therefore need 3 dates - sometimes this scheduling problem stops to exist after the first week
*) All finals in the same week is nice, isn't it?

Before publishing, I debated having them all end at the same time. And I almost did that, so of course, we can switch that.
However, let me state, I do not value the tournaments finishing all in the same week. I would prefer them finished earlier than listed. One of the problems with all finish in same week, is that some are out of town during that week (like myself). So to me that is not a value.
BUT... I will switch because this is a persuasive point: Players who play all 3 tournaments are certainly "still in" in all 3 events, and therefore need 3 dates - sometimes this scheduling problem stops to exist after the first week
Again, I hope tournaments move along swiftly, and the end dates never come into play where TDs have to make a ruling. (and yes I can see some of you who look like this when I say that.

Note on schedule topic, with all the byes seen in week one, perhaps we could have stayed with the original schedule s for the EMC & SMC.
