3 days pass ... Sat, 19 November 2011 20:37
Are the comments like "3 day pass" purely decorative or do they have consequences?

I don't know what you know so maybe you know this already, but three pass means I haven't played for three days.

So if you see somebodies "career passport" stamped you know they haven't been around lately, and the text gives you an insight in how long they haven't been around.

For me personally you can assume I have been hanging out at some beach somewhere with a tall cool drink in the shadow of a palm tree. So I am either very relaxed and you can surprise me in battle, or I am rested very well and have cunning plans up my sleeve.
Very Happy

If you don't play official (non-expert=SFTF) games for 15 days you supposedly get kicked off the ratings board and have to start over at 1500. I think it goes
3-day pass,
something,
on leave,
in-reserve.

You don't lose your points when you are not playing, you are just not listed in the points ranking if you have not played for 15 days.

Wow, if DoW kicked your rank down to 1500 for not playing in a while we would have some very unhappy players...including myself! The stamp on your passport is given when you haven't played in a while and just indicates how long it's been.

As soon as you play another battle the stamp is removed from you papers and you are slipped back into your ranking based on how many points you have.

Example:

GI Joe is a good Memoir '44 Online player and has a score of 1950. Currently, that would make him #1 in the ranking. Good job, Joe!!

Joe goes on vacation to the frozen tundra of Canada and is gone for three weeks. When he comes back, he will no longer be in the ranking at all (let alone first) and he will have a stamp on his 'papers' saying that he's been away. GI Joe gets online and plays a battle against someone. He wins and is now back in the ranking at #1 with a new score of 1952 (because he only got 2 points for winning the game). Everyone wants to beat Joe again because he's back on top!

This is a bit of a silly example, but hopefully explains how things work... Cool

Obviously a silly example....where would you get the idea Canada is either tundra or frozen? Laughing
