Is Winter Wars (English) OOP also? Sun, 01 July 2012 12:11
Hello,

I've just noticed that the english version of Winter Wars is out of print in the store? Is it just a temporal state or definitive?

Thanks

I looked today and it says it is in stock now. It has been out-of-stock before, but not OOP.

Did you look in the EU store?

No I didn't look there. Now that I switch to the EU store I see what you are seeing. You didn't mention the EU store in the original post so I didn't think to look there.

I can't be certain that it is not going OOP, but when I was first trying to acquire it (last fall), it was out-of-stock and could not be purchased on either the DoW (US) store or on Amazon.com. Prices where I could find it available were slightly high, but it wasn't long before DoW got them back in stock and prices became normal again.

It's a pretty new expansion and I wouldn't think it would go OOP already, but I can only speculate.

[EDIT]
I just checked the Amazon FR store and they have it for less than the DoW EU store, with free shipping. If you are at all concerned I'd grab it there.

If this one would go out off stock, that would also mean out off stock for the BT-cards, since they are included in the package. (and afcourse the combat cards)

Not good !

If eventually the Winter Wars Expansion becomes an OOP, I think DoW should definitively ponder to sold separetely every deck available up to date, likewise they are doing with the Command Cards and the German Version of the Summary Cards.

My friends got the BT Kit, but can't get the cards because Winter Wars is hard to find. Same for the Combat Cards.

Any word on this?

There's no word, but I would imagine all of the expansions like this (the Terrain Pack, Pacific Theater, Eastern Front, etc) will all be reprinted as they need to be. They are important to the game and are key to lots of official scenarios, so I don't think they'll stay OOP for very long. Smile

That's my thought on the matter, but I guess you never know. Razz
