I bought Ticket to Ride from the Mac App Store, but I do not appear to have any Steam keys in the download center. Any suggestions?

Is the link for the steam key dead? It directs me to a page with the following message:
Quote: | DOWNLOAD CENTER
Here are the files that you can download:
|
And for the rest there is nothing on the page.

Did you follow the steps described on the thread above, ie did you log in from your Mac App Store (or Web) version into the Online portion of the game, using the _same_ days of wonder account under which you are posting messages under on this forum?

The Steam keys are not linked to any board game code. The board game codes you find in the back of the rules of our board games give you discount coupons for other board games on our web store, not Steam activation keys.
You get Steam activation keys if you purchased the Mac or PC version of Ticket to Ride from us on our web site, or if you purchased the Mac App store version.

The directions I have seen are incorrect.
Maybe steam changed/updated the page.
Click on the little plus sign in the lower left corner of the steam program.
go to the middle box
click next or accept until it asks you to input a key.
copy and paste.
give it a try.

This still doesn't seem to be working. I have had not yet got a Steam key and I've been trying for the last week.

Hi,
Anyone else have problems with the conexion in the steam version?
I only can play the game from time to time, My profile and online ranking can be seen on the game but says that I don´t have persmission to play on line...
Sometimes it works ok, so I don´t have any idea of what could be the problem...

Sorry, but the Steam version sucks...you can't pick a game or find your old buddies to play with....I will be sticking with the old version until that gets fixed!

In the Restaurant of Ticket to Ride, you can see the games that are being played, observe them, create your own, chat with the other players, and create a private game.
To enter the restaurant and play with your buddies in the Steam version:
- click on More...
- and then on the Online, near the restaurant's door.
Enjoy,
Eric B.

Thats ok EricB
I play a lot of games without problem, and observe. But from time to time conexion is lost (Almost at the end of all games) and sometimes I need to close game and start it again to be able to play again...
Another thing to correct in the steam game:
- You can´t see previous messages or playing status with the claimed routes during the game.
Thank you

I think they are moving toward the Steam version, so I doubt there is any plan to go back the other way.

- Why doesn't the old client inform that there is a update available?
- What is the differences in the Steam version compared to the old version? I'm not a steam user, so what do I gain by going through all that hassle?
Haven't been able to see some sort of release notes or indication on what news/removals it contains other than "higher resolution".

I'm having an issue. I got the iPad version and decided to play on my older PC version now that I'm back from a trip hoping it had been updated and was similar.
1. How the hell do you shut the conductor guy up?
2. When I installed Steam and added the keys for the game it created some random account "Rich13" that I don't want and I can't seem to find a way to change that to my DoW account. I see instructions for merging but I don't want to merge this useless unused account. I just want it eliminated.
Plus the merge doesn't work as I don't have a password to log into it.

I'm told by some other Steam-based TTRers that since I have the iPad version of the game, a redemption code for the Mac version may be doable via Steam or the App Store. Is this the case? There doesn't seem to be anywhere to registerr the iOS version on my DoW page, is all.
I'm also having issues logging in on my DoW account. I edited my Game Center ID a while ago (got rid of the emoji I had in there), but the app still insists on featuring it. Even then, it keeps saying there's an error with the server... ¬_¬º

Trying to play on new PC, unable to access web version and nothing happens in Steam - it wants me to buy the game again.
Yes, I am logged into my account.
No, no keys show up for downloading based upon my previous purchases.

I purchased the old downloadable Ticket to Ride in December 2011. I still have the receipt. When I go to the page to get a free upgrade to the Steam version it just gives me the:
Download Center
Here are the files that you can download:
and there is nothing to download. Am I missing something? I am logged on with my account that I used to purchase the original game.

I had the same problem, no keys, but customer service was able to solve this for me once I created a Steam account and linked it to DOW.
Short answer, contact customer service.

So how does one contact customer service??? I just "side-graded" from the Mac App Store version and only got a download key for the 1920 expansion. My Europe and Switzerland versions did not come with keys and the game asks me to spend $5 for each one!!! That is not a "side grade", that is robbery.
I'm hopeful someone can make it right. And yes, I have played SEVERAL online games within the app.
Thanks,
-Don

Been there. It's not helpful. There isn't a "send email" link or other web contact. Only Snali Mail and FAX contact info are present. The rest of the page has FAQs.
Thanks for trying. I appreciate it. Still waiting...

Keep looking; it's there.
On the left side, there are different categories for people who have trouble. The last one is called "Digital Games" and the top option after clicking on that the top one is called, "You have a problem with one of our digital games". Click on it and walk through the steps.
At the end, if your issue isn't listed, click on the words at the bottom that say, "These did not help? Submit your question»"
Good luck.

No problem, I'm glad to help.
Let me suggest that you also change your User Name so that you can be recognized for future questions and other posts you want to make.
Just go click on your User Name in the top right corner and change it, along with selecting an Avatar. It'll make you more memorable to everyone else. Join the community and stay a while!
Have fun and take care.

Thanks Rasmussen,
I have chosen an avatar and "memorable" username. I will try to stick around for awhile. Life is pretty busy lately---I haven't played the online game in probably 4-6 months---but I'll at least lurk a bit.
Cheers!
