One Player Ticket To Ride Sat, 11 June 2005 01:21
I have created a way to play by yourself if you have the game.

Take 3 or 4 tickets(more, you can't complete.) and ten train cards.
Add up the points on the tickets. You get that many turns.
Use two markers. One for points and one for turns.
Try to complete your tickets and make a long train.
When you get below three trains, take one last turn.
Add up ticket points to the points you have.
Count up longest train. Add as many points as trains to form your total score.

Tell me if you like it.

Looks like it could be interesting to play the game this way, but to be honest, not to my taste. I find that T2R is a better game for groups of 2 to 4 (I can't say I like the 5-player variant, as there's just no room to play on the board! Smile), buit to each their own.

Mind you, I won't be playing the on-line version of the game for a while now, as my record is truly pathetic and I am quite depressed over it. Sad

I believe frunk has determined that the game usually ends somewhere between turns 30 to 35 (I could be high on this number). Thus perhaps you can maybe do something like 25 + 1 ticket (where the ticket is 11 or less) to make it more challenging. This is assuming the 30 to 35 number is correct.

Sorry about not replying sooner, but thanks. I might try that version with 25 + 1 ticket. I have to admit that you do seem to finish before the amount of turns you have.
