Wim,
Jeronimon has yet to post the official looking results, but for this round, the score was 7-4 ALLIES and overall it stands at 19-14 ALLIES after Round 3.

I concur whith Gonzalan, the standings after round 3 are:

The dutch combined now have a score of: 1 win out of 9 games. Not a pretty picture guys.

Chicago 1942
Mid States Press, located in Chicago, decided to pay homage to all branches of the United States armed forces: Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines. It’s the only set that devotes one card to each branch of the service. Another unique feature has the art taking up half the stamp side of the card, leaving the other side to send a more detailed message. Whereas the various governments produced many propaganda postcards during World War II, all United States cards were privately produced. As a result, there is more variety among United States cards.
This is the Air force card: The Air Force pilot is dropping Tojo, Mussolini and Hitler as human bombs into hell where the Devil awaits them smiling.

the victorious général was very Lucky tonight.
Result : Iron Gut Heath vs lucky91 : 9/10 medals 33/40 figs. 69/102 dice 48%/39% hit rate
40 turns 75 minutes
Denis was very close of victory :9-4 for him at turn 34 but 2 consecutive tanks assaults modified the winner.
Denis played very well with efficient moves and good decisions but cards made the différence.
a Great opponent for a Great scenario!

Jaykay Vs JA Parker
With our initial attempt to meet up to play this round having backfired due to an electrical storm, and a subsequent power outage, it was fireworks all the way for the Allies in the eventual match ..
Result:
Allies (Jaykay) 10 Axis (JA Parker) 6
Really, my game plan was superceded by a rather extraordinary draw of no less than THREE TFH CARDS, all in quick succession. Although the first card was a good roll, the dice failed to follow .. but within two turns the Allies were throwing another finest hour, and then, yet another ... each time with far better success on the attack rolls, leaving the axis forces decimated in each of their key holding positions.
Apologies to my opponent who openly wondered if i was printing the cards as I went ..
A valiant attempt to hold back the Allies, but in the end, with three TFH's coming at him, there was little he could do :/
I don't ever recall drawing this many TFH's in one battle ! Two yes, but never three .. quite incredible odds i would imagine ? Has this ever happened to anyone else?

In a Gates of Moscow scenario I went up against three, but my opponent got one via Counter Attack.
But playing that card and drawing it two more times-wow!

Victory for the AXIS: JJ's Juggernaut (10) vs Gonzalan (3).
This match was one of the craziest that I've every played! It started off very badly for the Allies which and early Ambush that wiped out a full flamethrower tank unit and well as an opening Firefight. The odds seemed even worse for the Allies as it seemed they had few if no center cards to continue the fight and the Axis charged up the center of the field with their own elite tank unit...which failed to hit on several occasions
This is only the beginning but the rest of the match was a roller-coaster of insane hits and untimely misses for both sides, but the majority affected the Allies.
Final stats:
AXIS: 75 dice rolled, 45% hitrate (43% inf, 50% tanks out of 24 dice), 34 figures won.
ALLIES: 60 dice rolled, 28% hitrate, 17 figures won.

Another Victory for Axis
Junior72 : 7 med, 36 fig - Droopy007 : 10 med, 26 fig
http://www.daysofwonder.com/memoir44-online/fr/battle/?id=41 796462
Junior started strongly on his right, quickly taking a 4-0 lead (only units killed).
When I saw I couldn't defend anymore on my left, I decided to retreat in the left medal town what was left of my defenders, then launch an attack on my right instead. Thanks to better luck than my opponent, I closed the gap, finishing units, killing both his left engineer and 2 flame thrower previously wounded.
I retreated again in the right medal town and the end of the battle took place in the center. It was an infantry fight around the middle town. Junior managed to take it, but not to remove me from it, so I launch a barrage and ended the game.
The differencre, slight one, came from 2 major things : I've been able to keep the 3 objectives, and have been more lucky on infantery (12%).
Junior played it very well, and would have deserved to win also. Very interesting game ! Thanks and good luck for the rest of the tourney !

We played the rematch too, that Junior won 10-9. Very nice close game again.

Congrats JJJ on your victory and strange game indeed!! From you missing 6 shots on a 1 fig ARMOR on my baseline with no retreat to my missing 6 shots on a 1 fig INF, from the early AMBUSH and kill, to all the strange misses, lack of CENTER cards for me, you having plenty and still missing, weird!!
Still, a nice scenario, just the 28% overall dice rate that worked against me and given my cards, should have pressed on my left some and just let you continue missing in the CENTER!😄
Well done and good luck to the rest of the ALLIES, 3-2 bad guys as of now, 21-17 overall....good guys...

Another Axis victory Clorofila v Jeronimon 6-10
Replay
Clorofila opened big with an assault right followed by an assault center which got him a kill early on. He then pressed on mainly in the center. and positioned himself on the flanks. Looking at a few probes with some other cards speckled in between I shot where I could and retreated wounded units as best I could. (Hoping to lure some Allies with them so my arties could join in and help.)
His men were not missing much shots in the beginning, but as they tired out the started missing some. I was looking at a lot of lonely infantry men though. One of his french units got into the fortress and an engineer unit got into the Golf Hotel, that engineer being responsible for killing of two infantry units of mine. The score being 6 - 3 and I had not even killed any unit yet.
Luckily the turn after that I killed that infernal engineer, and a fire tank unit that helped him do this, with a lonely anti tank guy and the arty on that wing.
The fighting switched to the other wing and the middle, clorofila moving men closer to the Arsenal maritime. I cleared the Fortress of Allied infantry men, And then two consecutive armor assaults got him my only armor unit and got a two tank armor unit into the Golf Hotel. 7-6 the score
In between those armor assaults however I played a recon and could choose between DFHQ and 2-2-2. I chose the latter and marshaled my forces. An infantry hit and flagged the armor unit out of the Golf Hotel. Big Willie finished that one of. Two medals for me and minus 1 for clorofila. Four dice of two infantries were needed to destroy a single tank and then the sniper (one hit) and my middle arty (two hits where 1 would have been enough) took out a two figure infantry for the 10th medal.
An exciting match where we fought over the fortress and the Golf Hotel.
I thank my esteemed and tough opponent for a very enjoyable match!
The scenario gives you lots of choices strategy wise and, I feel for both players. I do also feel the Germans have a good position and have lots of opportunities to retreat wounded units. The four cards is a royal pain in the heiny however which makes it much more even. Use your cards wisely (both sides) and you can come out on top.
Good luck to the remaining generals in their upcoming fights, and remember: the Germans must win!

Superior match with Jeroen and a worthy victory for my dear frien...aaah, I mean, merciless opponent.
Made one super-mistake, being stubborn and not retreating my 2-figures French infantry from The Fortress - I had two opportunities, for god sake... Other than that, I took a lot of risk with my tanks, but given the axis side only has four cards available I was hoping that would work to my advantage. It did, partially, but the truth is that four of my five armor units were turned into enemy medals! Not a good thing.
I believe a cautious approach by either side will grant better results in this truly magnificent scenario. Congratulations to Eric, once again!
Jeroen, we'll meet again!...

Reporting a win for the allies!
It was a slow advance on both flanks for the Allies. At first, I just shot from afar. Wim tried to advance for some easy kills but was undone by an ambush and close assault.
After weakening the front lines, the Allies moved in to win 10-7. The dice were pretty even (42% to 43%), but the Allies rolled 80 dice to 56 for the axis.
Well played by a great opponent, but I just had too many options with 6 cards.
The Axis won the rematch 10-7 with some timely dice and card draws.
Two great games!
Well played, quit2.

Hi,
Battle report : Tank Commander vs Vercingetorix1302
Axis victory with 10 medals to 4 (34 vs 18 figs)
John started an all out attack on his right with his tanks, trying to fry my antitank inf out of the towns. Unlucky for him, my units survived the BBQ and retaliated with some perfect dice rolls. Thus eliminating and weakening some of Johns armour. In round 2 John persisted in his intend on toasting my inf by playing armour assault. Yet again my infantry units survived and were able to finish of 2 more armoured units. By that time I was leading 6-0 and holding the perfect cards for this scenario : infantry assault and 2 (!!!!!) counterattacks. Things couldn't be better ... I just had to wait for John's infantry to move up close and retaliate with more dice, since his units were out in the open.
To summerize : Lady Luck sided with the Axis forces and John didn't have a chance against my very lucky rolls. (59% on inf and 58% on armour, without using flags!!)
Cheers to John that he still continued to play a rematch, in which his luck only got slightly better. Once again, sorry for my very lucky rolls.

When I saw my starting hand, RIGHT ASSAULT, two DHQs, ARMOR ASSAULT and BARRAGE along with M & M I had high hopes. Unluckily my early rolls against the infantry did not go well and after I burned through my good cards that was that. The Germans had very good cards but a lot better dice (16 meaningful grenades to my 6).
Yes, that was as ugly as it gets.
I had 15 attacks (16 hits total), mostly vs inf of 2 or more dice with 3 whiffs and only 4 that resulted 2 hits.
The Axis had the same number, 15 (24 hits total) mostly vs tanks but got at least 1 hit on all those attacks and 2 hits on 9 of them.
My meaningful hit rate on the inf (excluding overkills and meaningless misses) was 58%. Certainly not bad but my lack of hits in the early game did me in.
A 68% meaningful hit rate against my armor was the end result in that game. My tank losses:
one to 3 total dice
one to 3 total dice
one to 4 total dice
one to 5 total dice
and the last to 7 total dice
So 15 hits to 22 meaningfull rolls-ouch!
Not a single flag was rolled against my tanks which could have helped back them out away from further fire.
I never came close to occupying any of the medal sites.
Not much you can do with crazy rolls like that. It was pretty much over after the 2nd German turn with 3 of my tanks gone for the loss of only 1 infantry. Pretty depressing-that

Kelogs_10 and I played our round 4 match earlier. A very exciting, hard fought, 35 turn battle. The Allies prevailed 10-8. Victory was only possible by capturing and also eliminating the German units on the right and left medal objectives. Thanks Chris for a great game.
