First match of NC VOL.X played!
SOJA maunaloa vs AGT-DN 2 - 4
Better combos + colours gave me an early 3-0 lead; but I managed to put more spice to this match, as two unneeded, dumb mistakes decided game 4+5. In the end luck was the way by finding one out of four!
3 breaks, only one time longest didn't win (but could have...)
No northern biggie at all included, only both southern biggies one time each!

Longest was decided early, when mauna tried to catch a northern loop which I could block two times - his 6er ending with refusing a connection to LA surprised me; maximum on his route would have brought him a win by one, but only one tic for me to be found, so I didn't take tix - a wise call with LA missing on his side!

I was lucky with finding open colours several times, so I could walk a perfect track in 10 turns while annoying his route

Better combo for me by far including 8 locos..not much more to say - not my best game, but was enough of course

1*-3° +POR-NAS +POR-PHO vs +DEN-PIT +DUL-ELP (BOS-MIA) found: -NY-ATL
Mauna starts with 6 blue connecting to PHO while I took 6 black and orange - As I saw my chance for longest not that good I decided to block his possible bottle necks: SEA-POR first (which was the wrong guess, he answered with POR-FRISO) then his way to NAS (right guess, he wanted to get there, so obviously POR-NAS). I managed to take longest connecting my eastern blocking actions and then decided to fish for 2 (!!!) as I guessed him having 17+17 which would have given him a win by 1 - of course the wrong decision (I didn't realize his POR-PHO start was the first tic), nothing found

2°-3* +DUL-HOU -WIN-LIT vs -TOR-MIA -WIN-HOU (VAN-SFE)
The both of us were early aware of him having middle tix and me eastern ones. 6 green was first controversial subject, as I needed it for good longest and he obviously had a HOU tic. Me taking green open made him get 6 green quickly, so I needed an idea on my other end for longest and found it with 2 4er WIN-HEL-CAL, but I had to spend precious blue I also needed in MIA. His chances for longest grew smaller with ugly ends in SEA and HOU when I made the big mistake to make 5 blue (using most of my locos) before taking 4 yellow (my last 2 gaps on a nice 44er route) and he blocked yellow with locos. No chance for me to repair this mistake as I would have needed one more turn for taking colours - yellow first and then blue or even detour ATL-NO (with him blocking the blue) would have made me win, either with longest or him having not connected to LIL.

2*-4° +LA-MIA +DAL-NY vs +LA-CHI +CAL-SLC (BOS-MIA) found:+HEL-LA
Maunaloa early grabbed 6 black (~30) when I had no chance to; my only good way was a western connection with a risky open end in CHI then. He early took 2er to NY and got open colours for a connection via MIA-ATL, so I blocked 2er HOU, the decider for longest, but my fast ending (including his detour via LIL-NAS) was not enough as he got important track points with 6 red 5 blue within his last turns and apparently had more tic points than me: 6 11 20 21 on his route and I didn't believe in the 6er. So i fished again, this time to to find one out of four (8 9 11 13) and found the cheapest one to win by 7, so now (after mistake in game 4) this was the right decision

So, first experience of number 1 Russian team was negative. But it was)
Have to thanks UEG team. Bulent, Tom, Claudia and Mudda. It was fair and interesting games. Somewhere we can grab one more tie, but in principle the opponent team was stronger at that time.
Must say that it is great feeling about NC atmosphere.
I'm happy to be part of this community.
And my NC will start in the round 2!
