All Eastern Front Games Mon, 10 November 2014 18:52
Our NE Ohio Memoir '44 club is playing through the Eastern Front scenarios. What is the best way to obtain a list of all published EF scenarios in chronological order?

Do you mean chronological as in "according to the date they were published", or as in "the historical date of the battle"?

On this website, on the memoir page, you can go to military archives - official scenarios. You can refine the search and select eastern front. Then you can sort by operation (just click on the column).
First you'll have all the battles not belonging to an operation, and just with a date. You have them chronologically.
Then you have all the battles in an operation. They are grouped per operation, and it's easy to slide the bunch of them per operation in the chronological list you already had.

Thanks, although the official scenarios and From the Front have to be searched independently. I printed Crossing the Bug River for tomorrow's night match. Should be fun.

Hello,

Just a small mistake : Battle of Mount Gargan is not a scenario on the Eastern Front but on the Western Front (French Resistance).

We played "Crossing of Bug River" last week and had an exciting finish to a game between Jim and Carl. Jim was the Germans and was up 5-3 and on the verge of victory. However, Carl had a DFHQ and four possible battles that could result in victory. His first three battles tied the game 5-5. He then had to decide to fire his artillery at either 2 infantry or 1 armor, four and three hexes away respectively. Both the two axis infantry and the armor would be able to retreat. However, the armor was in Susky and if retreated would lose a medal. Carl decided to go for the tank in Susky. He rolled two infantry! Laughing Jim then took one more figure to win as the Germans. It is an understatement that Carl felt unlucky!
