Spare Air Pack Fri, 09 January 2015 22:17
Ok, so through a series of circumstances, after over a year searching for an Air Pack, I ended up quite by accident with two.

As I don't need two, I thought I might offer one out. It's not 100% complete - the insert for the box is missing and only one of the 8 airplane cards is in the box. But all of the other reference cards are there, the book, all 8 planes with their bases and the box. I need to sort through the tiles, but I'm 99% sure they are all there too.

So, if anyone might be interested, PM me with an offer and we will see what we can do.

I'm UK based, so bear that in mind for postage purposes etc. I will only charge whatever the postage ends up costing, but obvs the further you are away, the more it will end up being Smile

Just to be clear, due to the utter niceness of the community, which I was once lucky enough to benefit from first hand, I am not looking for silly money on this, so if you're thinking 'Oh, I'd offer but he probably wants like £100 or something' then think again.

Seriously, not even kidding a little bit here...

Further clarification:

The Pack is missing one terrain tile - a winter hill/trench tile which is basically a duplicate of the same tiles in the Eastern Front pack.

It is also missing the plastic insert for the box and seven of the eight airplane reference cards as previously stated, but I can happily do scans of the missing cards if required.

Everything else is there. All terrain and troop reference cards, all the plane models, all the plastic plane stands and every counter, and the book, all in great condition.

First person to offer me £50 plus postage wins.

There are no winter hill tiles in the Eastern front pack, But Winterwars has them.

@blagmasterg

A very nice initiative to give back to the community (where you could have sold it on Ebay).

I also had a spare airpack and sold it to an avid player for about the same amount of money, he is still very happy with it. Cool

@Antoi - my mistake, must be Winter Wars. Either way, it's an easily replaceable tile and doesn't especially detract from the pack itself.

@Jeronimon - well I was lucky with a copy of Winter Wars a while back that some kind forum member sold to me for a very reasonable price so it seemed only fair. Yes, I could split it into parts and sell on ebay (the planes alone are on there for £75) but I'd rather it went to someone who will actually get some joy and use out of it Smile

My sentiments exactly, mine went to a player who only started playing this year, but not only managed to get his hands on the Airpack (via me) but also found a Tigers in the Snow somewhere. (The one thing I am still missing Cool )

He is now competing in on- and ofline tournaments and having a blast.

I'd like to get Tigers in the Snow, but I'm biding my time on it. I refuse to pay silly money for stuff, either it'll be reprinted (like Winter Wars eventually was) or I will find it at a reasonable price somewhere one day.

Please note that the Air Pack has now been sold. Thanks to all who showed interest and I'm happy to report it is going to a new young player for his birthday!

I'd like to send out a public note of thanks to blagmasterg for kindly offering his spare copy of Air Pack to the Memoir '44 community. I am the fortunate beneficiary of his gesture (or more correctly my young son will be when he receives the expansion for his birthday next month). The M44 community is quite generous, and blagmasterg exemplifies that quality.
