Deveric - scorps

2-5-1

126*-125
97-110
114-114
114-120
120-128
114-118
126-100
94-131

Had biggies more than once; I don't recall either of us really having exclusively east at all; mainly west and middle; but combos certainly seemed to fall better for me; Having blacks open for me in two games bailed me out also. Thx for the games Eric.

Re:SPWC: Matches scheduled and results Tue, 23 June 2015 23:25
White Train - dea
5:1 (+ 2 Ties)

1) My start with Sea-NY, SSM-Okl ... promising
Colors not the best, can't play my usual quick start and Felix is faster with 6's in the North fitting to his Cal-Phe, Den-Pitt.
I find a new loop at Omaha I probably never played before:
4 pink, 5 white, 3 to Stfe, 3 blue and up again with 2+1 back to the 5 red I had to play because I had no orange
Felix is pretty surprised that he won only by 2 Points.
1:0

2) Sea-NY, NY-Atl
Of course Felix gets orange (TUS players usually do) but I have yellow and white and he plays to Cal. Good to know that this must now be Van-Mon ...
I let him connect the slow way taking care of my own biggie and longest, we both miss the 2nd ticket, his is Win-LR
1:1

3) Den-Pitt, Den-EP
Felix starts with 6 blue on grey quite early, for a change I get the orange (had to take them open of course).
Later on I could block his Van-Mon (yes, again, this time with Dul-EP) but still remembering the blue I don't credit him with a North biggie.
At least I get a nice route and draw Cal-Phe to grab a tie
Still 1:1

4) Van-Mon for me this time but with Bos-Mia (and LA-Mia ... what to discard?)
Felix gets orange (what else) and yellow, so not enough 6s for me and no chance vs Po-Phe, Dul-Hou
2:1

5) Kan-Hou, Sea-LA
Nice longest for me but Felix turns up with Sea-NY + Van-Stf so I need to draw again and find De-EP for another tie
Still 2:1

6) Dul-Hou, SF-Atl vs Po-Nash, Hel-LA
He gets the blacks, me the green and 5 white.
An ugly blocking mess follows and I don't concentrate enough in the end, thinking I'm dead anyhow.
It turns out that just avoiding a completely useless Nash-Atl would have been enough to win, as both his ticks are dead and I manage longest and Dul-Hou.
3:1 and as such mistakes are duly punished here's where my luck ends.

7) Hel-LA, Cal-Phe, Den-EP
Nice ticks, but no colors/locos to get North 6's and Felix once again has Van-Mon and is simply too fast for me
4:1

8 ) Cal-Phe, Win-Hou
He starts 6 black and green before I can say "und Spasss", I block the 2 that he doesn't need, Felix 5 white and he wins easily with LA-Chi, Den-EP.
5:1

All pretty well done by Felix (not seeing my loop in game 1 didn't matter, maybe he could have assured his win in game 5 that I messed up), no wonder he won League.

Now gooooooo, get the Double

Re:SPWC: Matches scheduled and results Wed, 08 July 2015 00:57
Why does the opponent take tix in his last move which if he didn`t draw reach definitly final match?

1) Many tix to find in my route!

I see not more than 4 in last game, so the poddots not more than 25 %

2) I dont see an avantage to start last game!

Hm. This is a point i understand absolutly cause the oppenent are not anyone. Its Felix !!! 15 %

3) I have a good feeling to find only 1 tix on my route cause i have a run to finish the clash earlier! I am Lucky!

Hm. I know some players here in the lobby that can do it game to game but one player are the king of the ticketmonstar. Hello Colotrain Wink 10 %

4) I am under pressure to end the clash quickly cause my wife are sour with me or i must stand up very early next morning cause of work. Baby is crying!

Yes. It can happen. 5%

5) I am an underdog and noone think that i win the Clash anyway and i want to shock everyone with draw in last move!

Its true. Ín order shock for oppenent, finding tix and happy to end the game quickly. Victory. Over with pressure. 5%

Summary: If we see the last move with spend only time for 1), we see only the 25 % or maybe 20 % to win this game. Noone draw with this poddots. But look to 2-5. Plus 35 % with 20 % there are more than 50 %. Now the situation is an other. If i am in the same position how like this player in his last move i draw also.

Great match Zil.

Greetings
Bülent Cool

Congrats Felix, nice double with the League!

Regarding Zil's last draw, like Bülent, I get why he did it.

He led 4-1, tied in game 6, lost the next three, momentum was with Felix.
They had already played for 3 hours 30 minutes, brain was maybe fried, and he said he had to get up tomorrow.
If he was not mentally fit anymore to play another one, he might as well draw.

Anyway, congrats to both players! Nice run from ZiL !

Re:SPWC: Matches scheduled and results Wed, 08 July 2015 10:40
I would lie if I say I slept well last night Confused
Sysy and Bülent's analysis are pretty good... I was tired because of a big day at work and had to get up early today, we already played 10 games so I wanted to end fast and took a chance. It would have been a hold up, sometimes it works, sometimes not. In last game, I was already lucky that Felix didn't finish faster when I draw 2 tix (2 phoe), I thought I was already in Phoenix but no Shocked and I had to draw cards 2 more turns. Happy that he continued his NY block.

Bülent:
1 - only 3 tix to find (den-pitt in Felix's hands), didn't find my LA Chi who saved me against Ross the round before
2 - clearly an advantage but... read above Very Happy
3 - I had good feeling ! It worked once so why not twice Razz
4 - yes I wanted to end fast, no kids at home and my wife supported me until she fell asleep during game 2 Laughing thx darling
5 - True!
I'm glad you would have done the same!

Anyway it's just a game, congrats to Felix on his way to become the player of the Year 2015 Thumbs Up , thanks to all opponents for great fights and thanks to TD.

See you all next year

Gilles

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrats Felix!

Unfortunately I couldn't watch, so I don't understand Bülents comments. And I can't tell you, what I would have done better Smile. Great work, but as Pep said: Just the triple counts Smile. After SPWC is before NC!!! If we do that, i call you "MESSI" for the REST of the YEAR!!!! (LET ME FEEL LIKE NEYMAR Smile ) GRATS also ZIL, must have been a great match with the closest result. Great tournament! Would be nice to be part of it again next year, but it's just impossible for me to play 2 tournaments at the same time.

Score was 4-1-4 and in 10th game it was a tie, ZiL had to choose between taking tickets (3 possible ones) or going for a 11th game

Re:SPWC: Matches scheduled and results Mon, 13 July 2015 20:38
Thx to everybody, for congrats and for the nice competition.

After a few days, i would say; key point were the 5 black from Gilles in game 6.

He had taken 6 yellow, 6 orange and 6 purple at that Point.
I had played 6 White, 6 grey and SSM-Dul.

Gilles with Van-Mon, Den -Paso vs my Dul-Hou, SSM-Nash

Playing Duluth-Omaha at that point gives him the win, since my route would have been dead then. (some risk for his Van-Mon though)

Playing Toronto-Montreal instead, with 6 black in the end would have been enough too.

2 missed chances in a single move and probably the worst byeffect - after that win, i gained back my selfconfidence.

I think i was just a blink away from a 1-5 loss, since i am sure Gilles considered to play at least one of those moves.

Thanks once again,

lucky Felix Smile Smile Smile Smile Smile

yes I really hesitated playing that 2 in Duluth... But I couldn't never be sure about the tickets you had and as far as I can remember, I am not sure I had enough blacks to play the 5 or 6 or I would have certainly played them. Anyway, nice coming back, well played again and... I'll be back Wink
