Lets face it, us die-hard M-44's will buy it whatever it is. I have the Air Pack, have never used it, however I just copied 50th's rules and will give them a try. I also have the E Pack and have only used about 1/2 the stuff in it. As long as it has M-44 on it, it bound for my collection.

Thanks, any questions, just ask! I hope you like them, they're the only air rules I use. I bought the air pack at a con and REALLY didn't like the rules.

So is there any official announcement yet?

Didn't Days of Wonder sell Memoir 44 to Asmodee ?

Would any new expansion even get announced here ?

Umm, I think you've gotten a bit confused. Razz

Asmodee bought Days of Wonder (all of it) but DoW remains a design studio with new games coming out. There hasn't been any details released yet, but this is the place to keep looking. You can also follow Facebook and Twitter...

I'm thinking it might be the first of a new series of battle maps, with maybe Kohlkin Gol on one side and a Finnish winter war battle on the other.

I would like that

I would like that as well, yet I am hoping this will be something bigger...

The ole' battle maps used to only have one type of plastic piece that came with them if I recall correctly.

I have my fingers crossed for an EP II. When EP I came out, I was less than thrilled, but given a little time, I warmed up to it. There were enough plastic pieces in it to make it a nice addition, and after a little painting...I was definitely glad I picked it up.

A return of the battle maps would be terrific though, and any new content is welcome news.

Yes, Bart you hit the nail on the head. We just want to throw our money at anything Memoir '44.
I appreciate you adding the VASSAL Memoir site to your address to make it easier for folks to find. Good job!

It was Khalkhin-Gol indeed. The russian song above was written in 1939, and sung for the first time short after the battles of Khalkhin-Gol. The song is either about the battle of Lake Khasan (1938) or the battles of Khalkhin-Gol (1939). Anyway, it tells the story of three soviet tankmen repelling the Japanese invader. This was a hint for the coming Memoir '44 release.

Looks like you were dead-on it, man!

A return of the battle maps, two new plastic pieces, good news to hear. Smile

I'm loving the 6 scenarios and campaign, plus the flip side of the map is the landing at Bouganville. Looks like the 37th ID was involved in that action.

Someone here on these forums put together a terrific couple of campaigns that I printed out eons ago.

One of which was...I think it was something like Operation Cartwheel or something, or maybe it was a sub campaign in that overall operation...but it was a campaign on the battle for New Georgia.

Ah crud, now it's bugging me...hold on, I have to go look to see what that campaign was, I'll be right back.

Ah Ha! Operation Toenails...yuk. Anyway, a super mini campaign, and I think whoever did that one also did one called Operation Compass. Both of them are super.

On a side note, am I just getting older, or is that damn bag I have which is crammed full of M44 stuff; is that damn thing getting heavier?! I went to pull it off the shelf to see what that New Georgia campaign was called, and it nearly pulled my arm outta the socket! That bag is full, but holds only about half of the whole M44 stuff. All my pieces, which includes doubles on all the sets; and which I painted in a months long fit of nervous energy back in 2012-2013 while my middle son was deployed overseas with the Marines; those are in a completely separate enormous plano-thingie...

On the bright side, theres plenty of room to add several map expansions in the map pouch on the bag, to the existing ones already in it... Cool Cool
