And another fine day when Days Of Wonder or Asmodee disapoints us. There we are in lobby trying to observe Nation's Cup, keep interest going, and no observable games! None! So all we can do is look at a blank screen. Surely seems like DoW/Asmodee does not care about the faithful who continue to buy their products AND promote their products. FRUSTATING! Am I the only one with problems to start ticked to ride on steam? I installed steam, I downloaded ticket to ride, I entered the codes and now I have the program between the games installed with the link also on the desktop. The problem is that clicking on it opens a window with the word "preparation to start ticked to ride" and then closes immediately. I thought it was a problem of firewall, antivirus, defender but also disabling them, the problem is the same. This PC is new, just assembled, with windows10 64bit. To be sure, I also tried my girlfriend's PC which is not new and runs windows 7 32bit and another antivirus, but the problem is repeated in the same way. The other matches of the NC I have played on java and if necessary I installed steam, but I did not think to find these problems ... Am I doing something wrong? do you need a desktop movie? The only doubt I have, is that it could be a block from the provider or the router that connects to both PCs. I do not know what to tell you (not the greatest with technology) but when I play Splendor (another DoW game) with the App on my ipad, sometimes it does that 'close' thing after I open it. What I have had to do is remove Splendor off the desktop, and download new again. Then the problem is fixed for awhile. I say for awhile because it has happened probably 5 times over 2 years that way.

Oh and with Steam, I sometimes get frozen screen without knowing it. I have to exit and come back. (waited a long while talking with kasi during an NC match wondering why the player was not playing but thinking. Kasi was confused by my talking strategy from plays already completed. A bit humorous as you could tell and then he told me the match was over. So I exited and came back.)

Would it be impossible to play my 6 games of the final using Java? With the right exceptions it works well on my new pc with windows 10. I know that it was decided to use steam as the default game method and I will be ready to be replaced as required by my opponent, even if I am very sorry not to be able to play a final, and maybe even to modify his result, just for that type of reasons ... I will adapt anyway to any kind of decision taken by the organizers and my captain without controversy, but I wanted to explain that I did everything I could to solve the problem. I have been trying unsuccessfully for 2 weeks and tomorrow I make a final test by connecting a friend's laptop from my workplace, because I think my problem is the provider that does not allow me to use Steam. I tried new and old pc, with windows 7 and windows 10, with and without router, activating and deactivating antivirus / firewall / defender, installing Steam as administrator, but I did not get positive results ... Tempest and Stason, Thanks for trying so hard to resolve the issues with Steam. I would assume in answer to question about java game, that is up to Stason. I know myself I cannot get java working in the same way you cannot get Steam to work. I wish I could get java back because there are surely better multi player matches on the java platform than ever seem to hit Steam. Keep the community informed. [Report message to a moderator]

No I can't join java anymore and I already did answer that question in a PM almost 2 weeks ago. Even if I was able to join in java, I would not play the deciding match of the tournament there for sure. When I have a problem with the game I always write to DOW, they did always answer. Just looked at the steam TTR game's forum, that could be an issue and the solution: ------------------------------------------------------------ -- cannot start T2R Windows 10 - have installed / uninstalled twice. cleared local and game cahce / set allowances with kaspersky. was getting msvcp120.dll file missing, so i downloaded that and put in the syswow64 folder. now i am getting 0xc000007b error. been at this for over 2 hours now trying. any help appreciated. I finally solved the problem ... It was not a problem of provider, router, port forwarding or even Steam versions. I had read Stason's suggestion, and I had installed C ++ 64bit but the problem was not solved. I had installed that file because my system was 64bit and I had read the steam discussion without success. I had also opened a discussion with the support of steam, then yesterday I realized that I had to install both C ++ 64bit and C ++ 32bit, even though my system was a 64bit. Now works. Give me a few days to understand how this interface works and all the commands and options to set. thanks for your patience I hope I can play at the same level as Java Andrea [Report message to a moderator]
