Khalkhin-Gol Expansion - book vs paper map

This is the one expansion I did not get. But also have seen it in both campaign book as well as battle map format.
I have noticed it in the campaign boom format as well as the battle map format.
Is there a preference and/or explanation of one format over the other?
Hopefully someone has both (I know doubtful!) formats and can explain any pros or cons.

Hi, Caboose -- I haven't noticed you here in a long time.
As far as I know, Khalkhin Gol only came one way. The envelope contains a double-sided BT map and a double-sided OL map, a paper booklet containing the other scenarios, and one or two sheets of punchout badges & markers. Stuck on the outside is a blister pack holding the Tankettes and Armored Cars.

The reason I asked is that on some retailers sites they appear to show a campaign book and others battle map format. Thus the query but it seems the images of the book are not correct.
