So it seems if you play a RECON-1 on the Right and a Pilot Initiative Combat card when you have no airplanes on the board. You could place and order a plane on the Right only and at the end of your turn draw 2 Command Cards and choose one for playing the RECON-1 card and then also draw one Air Combat card for the RECON-1 card. Also, you would draw an additional Air Combat card per the instructions on the Pilot Initiative card. I hope this is correct, because this is what Johan has done to me. LOL!!!!

If you play Recon Right + Pilot Initiative when you have a plane on the board, then the card's special effect is used: You order one unit on the right, plus your existing plane, regardless of where it is. At the end of your turn, you do the Recon choice, and then you draw two Air Combat cards -- one from the Recon, and one to replace the Pilot Initiative.

If you play the Recon Right + Pilot Initiative when you don't have a plane on the board, then PI simply brings on a plane as the Recon's one order, as with any other Air Combat card. After your Recon choice, you draw only one new Air Combat card.

But then you do both it seems.

you disregard the text to bring a plane to the battelfield but also you use the text to take another air combat card.

I think you have to choose:
1: bring a new plan on the board and disregard all text. OR
2: Use the text and use one order from recon-1 and 1 for pilot initiative. (and then draw two command cards and choose one and draw one air combat card)

EDIT: Just as Sam just says Rolling Eyes Laughing (forgot to read further on the next page)

Makes perfect sense to me. Thanks Sam.

I think I have been hoodooed by my friend from Belgium. He is currently under arrest by the RCMP's. Shocked Shocked Laughing
