I have a question: what happens if you are attempting to travel via tunnel from one city to another (let's say Stockholm to Petrograd) . . . you need EIGHT of the same color (assuming you have no Locomotives) . . . so let's say I play EIGHT blues . . . then I draw the top three cards from the pile . . . and none of the three are blue. How many more cards must I then play from my hand to complete the route?

Does this make sense?

THANK YOU.

If none of the three are blue you are good to go: place your trains and collect those points.

If you draw blue or locomotives then you need to play more blue cards (or locomotives)

Thank you so much for the prompt reply.

One other question, if I may: what's the difference between the Blue spaces between Munchen and Venezia . . . and the ones between Berlin and Essen?

The ones between M and V are shaded gray, as if they are tunnels . . . but aren't they just "normal" blues?

Berlin Essen = Blue and you need two blue cards.

Munchen Venezia = Blue and a tunnel: you need two blue cards, then you need to turn three cards from the deck if any blue or locomotives turn you need to match that with blue cards (or if you want locomotives).

Look for the dark borders around the spaces to identify tunnels.
