Love those pictures. I like how you added the machine guns protruding from the B-17.

>> One of the differences between the B-17 F and the G was the turret under the nose but a few machine-guns are missing on both models.

>> The decals come from the surplus of models made for several years or if it is specific codes it is printed on fine paper style cigarette paper with a camouflage color background.

Simply amazing! Shocked The level of detail and skill on display is truly inspiring. Did you airbrush, hand paint, or a combo of both?

Hi Mr NOPAC Cool

Only the P-51 Mustang is an airbrush for the last serie; hand painting and a lot of patience but it's a pleasure to realize each model...
Do it !!! it's fun

First up is the F4U Corsair, nothing too fancy about this one so it was a nice plane to begin the set with

Now with the A6M zero, I went with some late war paint schemes, namely those used for the A6M5 Reisen

3rd plane I painted, the Stuka ! I was a bit heavy-handed with the brown wash applied to the nose, which messed it up a bit

First bomber of the series, the IL-4 ! I tried to replicate the the IL-4 "Chekist" I found while looking up for paint schemes, it was really fun trying to paint the cyrillic markings !
The red stars on the wings are obviously not authentic but I decided to add them to make the russian planes more recognisable on the battlefield.

First Japanese plane with the Aichi D3A Val, as always painting white is a real pain, though it was slightly darkened this time. It's also nice to relax and paint simple red circles as opposed to the soviet stars !

And now with the Avro Lancaster ! Probably one of the planes that I had the most fun painting; the shark nose arts were really tricky but totally worth the time !

The "Ropey" paint schemes were recently replicated at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum so it was easy enough to find different views for this specific plane.

Sorry for the delay ! Next one is the classic IL-2, the paint scheme used here is the one found on the IL-2M "Avenger" (мститель in russian)
The arrow was the tricky part here !

As you can see I kept the red stars on both sides of the wings as I did for the IL-4, still inaccurate but still better to spot the russian planes on the board !

Next is the He-111, the camo turned out a bit darker than expected so it's kinda hard to see the patterns here

And here's the Hawker Typhoon ! I'm really happy with the final result, it took me a few tries to get the stripes correctly but they ended up looking better than the ones I did for the P-51

Bonjour Doshimada Very Happy

Good job for your "Typhoon" turned into a "Tempest" Mk V; indeed the "JFoM" is a Tempest as indicated by the caption of the photo; but it is not very serious many will not make the difference ...
The "Tiffy" has 3 propeller blades while the Tempest 4.

>>> Royal Air Force- 2nd Tactical Air Force, 1943-1945.
Squadron Leader A S Dredge, Officer Commanding No. 3 Squadron RAF, briefs his pilots for a sweep over the Caen area, on the elevator of a Hawker Tempest Mark V, 'JF-M' at Newchurch, Kent.

no matter; move on! Rolling Eyes
