Infantry with Antitank guns

Hi hope someone can help wit this queryregarding Infantry with Antitank guns. This is from the Mediterranean pack rules
Infantry unit with Anti-Tank guns
Each time you run across this symbol when setting
up a scenario, place an anti-tank gun figure with
the infantry unit it is marked as attached to. The
unit will thus have a total of 5 figures - 4 infantry
figures and 1 anti-tank gun.[/B] The badge itself does
not exist except on paper and is not needed since the weapon is represented directly by a miniature.[/I]
So does this mean that a unit so equipped has 5 "lives" rather the normal 4 for an infantry unit before it is destroyed? I suspect not but....

You are correct.
The piece of plastic just does the job of a cardboard token.
The unit is still made up of four figures that need to be eliminated.
