1ere rencontre sur le fil cela se joue a une carte mais cela reste
très dépendant du tirage coté axe.
airstrike : coté axe 7 médailles et 32 pertes et coté russe 7 médailles et 37 pertes..
franok : coté axe 10 médailles et 35 pertes et coté russe 10 médailles et 37 pertes.
on voit dans le nombre de pertes de chacun que l'on était proche dans les 2 manches. j'ai eu plus de bol cette fois.

Two lopsided allied victories but a very close match overall. Second game, deepnet assaulted in the center, followed by armor assault, excellent dice, and DHQ. 9 medals in the last 3 turns and nearly pulled off the comeback, to the detriment of my blood pressure. Fortunate to get out with 3 points.

Very tense, fun and close match !
2nd match : 5 - 10 med 27 - 28 figs
Deepnet was mastering the game and a medal advances until a crazy assault from A 1 fig remaining tank who has killed 2 units and taken an objectice before survive to a bombard card and several shots. That has given me the opportunity to finish with the 3 objective medals the turn after ... a real holdup victory

I had the great opportunity to play Airstrike in person at the Dutch Open. I learned that he is a very tough and challenging opponent. The first part could have easily have been won by him but a critical Behind Enemy Lines for the last medal failed him at the wrong time with crazy bad dice. Luck allows me these victories.

An incredible match.
Game 1:
Early card problems for me, while the Russians piled on a ton of orders and three kills in the center. However, I finally got some big cards late in the game to score five kills and an objective in my last two turns. Big come-from-behind shocker.
Game 2:
Neither side ever got more than one kill ahead of the other. The heroes of this battle were my Right artillery and sniper, who teamed up to kill the German sniper with 2 dice, the mobile artillery with 2 dice, and then plinked off a 1-fig infantry in the back row for the final victory.
Two tense games that easily could have gone the other way.

Première carte de Le Pélican côté russe : attaque aérienne : 2 touches sur chaque unité des blindés d'élite et 2 touches sur mon génie mais il rate son objectif principal : mon artillerie mobile n'est pas touché.
Un match plustôt équilibré au dés mais 13 dés en plus (dont beaucoup de mon artillerie mobile) et des bonnes cartes combinés avec de la réussite au bon moment me donnent l'avantage 8-6. L'assaut des blindés final me permet de éliminer 1 soldat sur un objectif qui me donne les 2 médailles nécessaires pour une victoire 10-5.
Retour
Un match très déséquilibré : après une attaque droite préparatif j'avais un assaut sur chaque flanc + assaut d'infanterie + combat rapproché en main donc la route était claire : assaut d'infanterie droite, suivi par combat rapproché (5 unités), suivi par assaut droite, suivi par encerclement me donnait une score 6-0 et un flanc gauche allemand vidé des troupes. Après ce n'était que éliminer encore 2 unités et prendre les médailles.
Un résultat très déséquilibré au dés : 44% vs32% en total et surtout 53% vs 33% sur infanterie... Rien à faire pour Le Pélican.
Je souhaite Le Pélican une bonne continuation et surtout une meilleure réussite au dés (sauf dans notre deuxième rencontre Twisted Evil ).

1st game
A long game (35 turns in over 1 hour) with a slow start. Neither player had the big cards so we slowly went to a 7-5 lead for me. All points scored up until that moment were eliminated units so the 3 medals were open for grabs for he who dared going where no man went before... and I got lucky to get a Move Out the turn after taking my 7th medal. Sam took the risk of leaving the medals open as he was concentrated on eliminating more of my units. On the final turn I played the Move Out and ran to 3 medals making it 10-5.
We both got a fairly normal hitrate but Sam underscored a bit because I was able to take the 3 objectives.
2nd game
A faster game (20 turns in under 45 minutes) because after having played 3 cards I had a hand that forced me to go all in on the right allied side : 2x all + 1x attack + inf assault. After having played my final big card on the right I managed to secure my 5th firm medal (= eliminated unit) to take at least 2 points.
A recon right secured the 6th medal and 3 points. A 2-fig inf of me on the right flank survived 4 dice (only 1 hit) and my recon in force allowed me to position units ready to run to the medals left and center and my 1-fig inf right went in close assault to the 1-fig mobile artillery (after having scored 1 hit in my 2nd card air power) : my good fortune lasted and I got the grenade I was looking for. Score 7-5 for me and 3 medals open for grabbing.
This time Sam didn't take the risk and his all in the center allowed him to eliminate my 1-fig inf and to take 2 objectives.
I do think Sam made a small mistake in this turn by blocking half the retreat path of his 3-fig armour on the central bridge objective while I was able to position a unit blocking the other half retreat path. Meanwhile I had gotten 2 assaults on the left flank so playing the 1st allowed me to take te left objective, and to block the retreat of Sams' 3-fig armour on the central bridge objective. Both of my left artilleries had a die on this unit and putting a second unit in close assault gave me a total of 8 dice without retreat. I managed to eliminate the unit and the take ground gave me the final objective to win 10-7.
This time the dice largely favoured me (see stats below).
Thank you Sam for 2 hard fought games and the lengthy and very nice chat before and after. It was good to reconnect again and I wish you all the best for the remaining games.

2 Parties qui pouvaient facilement être inversé.
Un aller qui se déroule petit à petit, avec des tirs de distance et beaucoup de manouevres. 35 tours en une heure de jeu et un écart maximale de 2 médailles : au début en faveur de Jeronimon et vers le fin en mon faveur. Jeronimon rate les dés pour une 8ème médaille et je termine par prendre un objectif.
Jeronimon gagne le retour grace à un soldat immortal (il a résisté 9 dés tout seul) combiné avec un assaut de blindés (à 2 unités) qui remporte 4 médailles : l'une unité élimine 2 soldats en combat rapproché en la percée à distance donne 3/3 sur blindés; l'autre unité élimine 2 unités complètes d'infanterie sans recul 4/4 et 4/4 : en total 13 touches sur 15 dés... et le score va de 6-5 en mon faveur vers 6-9 en faveur de Jeronimon et je vois que au tour prochain il sait déplacer une unité vers un objectif et je peux rien y faire.
Mon 1-1-1 final me donne un objectif à gauche, mon blindé au centre elimine les 2 unités de blindés de Jeronimon et mes soldats à droite... ratent leur 2 dés sur le single soldat immortal... sinon une double victoire pour moi mais Jeronimon prends la victoire au retour. Ce soldat immortal me coute donc 1 point au classement final Evil or Very Mad mais il aurait pu me couter beaucoup plus en cas de non-réussite de mes blindés donc je me contente avec les 3 points.
Bonne continuation à Jeronimon et à bientôt à l'Open de France.

Good dice for me (50% against infantry 47% against armor), poor dice for Bacara (36% against infantry 32% against armor), led to his downfall more than anything.
Game 2: 10-9
Average dice for both, felt like poor cards for me. Perhaps I could've pushed for the objectives earlier, but I was in real danger of losing the match. Drew 2 move outs towards the end which was too little too late, which would've been tremendous earlier.

Aller , très serré ou Yves a manqué de chance sur son dernier tour, et du coup je l'emporte en détruisant son artillerie a 1 fig avec mes chars.
c'était ma dernière chance de l'emporter car je n'avais plus de carte et lui était en position pour la victoire ( qui lui échappe )

a sens unique , il m'affaibli un peu partout ( et n'a pas bcp de chance aux dés )
Sur la fin, je manque aussi de chance dans la destruction d'un char sans retraite planqué dans les bois ( après 3 tours d'essais),j'opte pour l'attaque sur l'infanterie et cela fini par réussir !!!
mais il était moins une car j'avais 2 unités a 1 fig a gauche et pareil à droite et les cartes ne suivaient plus trop !!!
un grand merci à Yves pour son fair-play et sa bonne humeur, malgré un manque de chance évident aux dés et au retour dés et cartes

Game 1:
The Russians' first four turns were Assault Right (9 orders), Assault Left (7 orders), Assault Center (9 orders), TFH (4 orders). After their fourth turn, they had taken a lot of forward positions, and they led in hits, 17-5, though it was only 2-1 in kills. Luckily for me, this is when I started to draw good cards. Very lucky - because in the middle game, the Russians captured both of the forwardmost Ruins hexes on their right, completely cleaning me out of there (temporarily). Up to this point, the number of kills had been close throughout the battle.
But then I had a comeback on my next 4 turns, with 5 kills in the center along with capturing the Factory and Bridge objectives.
Game 2:
The first several turns were fairly unexciting, and the score stayed close. But after the Germans played TFH on their 6th turn (4 orders, 1 kill), things got interesting: I had just drawn the 222, and that eliminated one Panzer and seriously damaged another. Then, my last 3 turns were big a Close Assault (5 units), Firefight, and Assault Center to score 5 kills plus the sniper and the factory objective, while losing only one more infantry.
This was my first time meeting Le Pelican. We had two good games that were very close until fortunes turned in my favor toward the ends. I look forward to our rematch at the second scenario.

game 1: deepnet (Axis) vs. Bacara (Allies): 10-6, 30-26
game 2: deepnet (allies) vs. Bacara (axis): 8-10, 34-38
1-1 games, 18-16 medals for deepnet.
In game 1, I started with a great set of cards, and just kept drawing them. Despite this, Bacara was able to roll well and still hold me off! But good cards beat dice in the end Smile
Game 2 was more evenly matched. Bacara was able to fight back for the win with some excellent plays to take two city medals at the end for the win. I was worried I could lose the match, so I played for the 7 medals (without a city), to ensure a match win, which did put the game win in jeopardy.

A l'Aller, Olivier vide la sedction gauche allemande de ses occupants et j'arrive à raccrocher aux médailles juste avant le rush final.
Au retour, énorme main qui me permet de débouler avec un max d'unités au centre.
2 belles parties avec un score très serré au final. Merci Olivier pour ce bon moment de M44 partagé ce soir

game 1: deepnet (Allies) vs. Artimon (Axis): 9-8, 31-27
game 2: deepnet (Axis) vs. Artimon (Allies): 9-6, 34-31
Deepnet wins two games to none.
Two very, very close and exciting games! Always a pleasure to play with Sebastien, and always very challenging.
In the first game, I was behind three medals at the end and was likely to lose the game on Artimon's next turn, so I took a big chance with recon in force (1-1-1), attacking the allied city on my right flank against a lone infantry to get the kill and city medal, and attacked a healthy tank in the middle to get a flag and push back for the last city medal to win just in time!
The second game was very close throughout, and similarly Artimon could have gotten very lucky with the right card to win 4 medals in one turn for win at the end. But, he didn't get the right card, and I had the strong unit advantage at the end to finish for the win.

Like history it was a hard struggle in and around Bastogne. Dice favored me at the right times. The second game the Germans had a hard time hitting the Allied who were hiding in the woods and mist. :0
