A very merry Christmas and a happy new year, let's hope it's a good one, without any fear (quot: John Lennon + Joko Ono(?))

Ok, so today is the big day here - and, as Garrison Keillor once said, "A lovely thing about Christmas is that it's compulsory, like a thunderstorm, and we all go through it together".
Whatever sentiments one has or has not about Christmas, I for one would like to take this opportunity to thank all of my friends here for the pleasure of meeting you all this past year and getting to know you a little better. If I ever get filthy rich (fat chance !!) I would get everyone together in one place and we'd have a great big party, because there are a bunch of you wonderful people out there that I would really like to meet in person one day! But until then, let me just wish you a very Merry Christmas, a very Happy New Year and (since peace on earth seems to be unachievable ) peace of mind for each and every one of you. The symptoms of this so called inner peace are:
- A tendency to think and act spontaneously rather than on fears based on past experience
- An unmistakable ability to enjoy the moment
- A loss of interest in judging other people
- A loss of interest in judging self
- A loss of interest in interpreting the actions of others
- An inability to worry (this is a very serious symptom!)
- Frequent overwhelming episodes of appreciation
- Frequent acts of smiling
- An increasing tendency to let things happen rather than to make them happen
- An increased susceptibility to the love extended by others as well as the uncontrollable urge to extend it. (anonymous)
I hope you have a lot of these symptoms, my friends, and often!
Love to all,
Monika
