tough games with Papixulu
i finally won 4-2
Game 1: 114-112 tt
tt: Hel-LA + LA-Chi
Papixulu: Dul-Hou + Dul-ElP, start
tied longest 44
lucky that Papi has only the smallest tickets on his route, because i was late in points
Game 2: 105-104 tt
tt: Van-Mont - KC-Houston, start
Papixulu: Winni-LR + Chi-NO and longest
i knew 2 or 3 turn before end i would win with one, tickets were obvious
Game 3: 117-109 Papixulu
tt: Cal-Phoe + Port-Phoe
Papixulu: Sea-LA + Chi-SFe, start and longest
I really forgot i had a 6er out of my line and thought i had won with longest. Bad surprise of course
Game 4: 115-84 Papixulu
tt: - KC-Hou - Dal-NY (and rejected Mon-Atl)
Papixulu: Van-SFe + Dul-Hou, start and longest
I filled Van-Mon + Sea-NY, then....
I drawed 3 time: - Den-ElP / - SSM-Nash / + Sea-NY + SSM-OC
Game 5: 122-107 tt
tt: LA-Mia + Denv-Pitt, start and longest
Papixulu: LA-Chi + SF-Atl
I won this high tickets game thanks longest
Papixulu would have killed me with a 5 at the end, but he had probably only a 4. He drawed, then i was sure to win (-Cal-SLC)
Game 6: 115-100 tt
tt: LA-Mia + Dul-ElP, start
Papixulu: Van-SFe + Sea-LA, longest
I made an unusual road but was faster to close the game
Papixulu is and will be definitely one of the toughest player in TTR.
Thanks for the games.

After staycool and I played our first 2 games, I became very sick. I've lost over 10 pounds in just a couple of days and I have finally been able to respond to his messages. He is away until Sunday afternoon my time, which as long as I now stay OK I won't be around. We have found the best time to play multiple games is my late at night and his morning, so we might not finish until Tuesday or Wedsnesday. If this isn't acceptable just move him on.

Not sure if its open or closed as I'm currently lower ranked, but maybe by monday I will be higher.

Great, hopefully I'm lucky enough to get there, but yes the weekend is fine for me. I can play from 6am-9am his time, 12am - 3am my time, so we could get them all in at one time if he desires. And I'll be able to play with staycool when he returns so any night whatever is good for him.

No no daedin - no need to be polite you were a lot better that night - maybee a little luck, yes, your tx were all west, handy tx and i had no clue how to win against you with cheap tx middle and east - but nevertheless you played better games - that`s why your win is well deserved.
I wish you good luck for your next games ..... (be nice to erps - let him win one or two )(ooops sory erps - I shouldn`t sympathize with my TD-partners opponents - can i still correct this post?????)
Looking foreward to see a "giants-duell" monday 21:00 !!!

Hi
Monday, hm? Oh, i forgot i have a really important appointment and there will be a major earthquake and... Not reliable?
Daedin, do you know the movie Switch? Maybe you can switch with the other twin, you know, the one that always lose against me. Not possible? Sigh!
Why in third round??? But if you have a closer look, there are only strong players in the third round. This is the strongest competition ever. We have mudda vs angel, Anu vs deep_blue, Whitetrain vs WW and of course: suburu vs pegaso Just kidding, they ARE strong!
So, let's face the task as a manly man (*cough*)
This Monday, 21 CEST
Games will be open from my side, and i think from daedin too
Everybody not watching is a milksop
bye, erps

Hi,
suburu 3 - pegaso 4
I'm lucky the SPWC is at the best of 7 instead of the best of 5, because other way I would have lost the two matches I played.
Like against Schwen I had start, good tix and perfect colors in the 7th game, so if someone wants to beat me, it must be before the decivise game!
Is sad to play an 'harakiri match' because I wanted suburu to make a good performance in the SPWC, and after her win against tprail she demostrate that is a very hard player..you'll see it the next NC!!
bye,
pegaso

I suggest to play till 8.45 so that Michael can concentrate for the other tourney. Rest of the games next week, due to stressy weekend plans of Mudda...

3rd Round Result
|
Thu, 05 July 2007 09:59

|
 |
Muddaihrsohn vs Angel6: 2:4
A very good block by Mudda killed me in the 1st game,
the 2nd was very close and a lucky 117:116 win for me.
After that, I think I played on top of my game, although losing a game with 17+17 in ticks (I don't know how, but I really should have won this! ). The very last game was outstanding for me with rather bad ticks (Mudda starting, having central ticks), but managing to win by means of a tempo game, finishing just in time to win by a margin.
Of course, I had some considerable luck starting 4 or 5 times out of 6, but show me a player telling that he would win against Mudda without any luck, and I show you a megalomaniac.

One of the best match I've seen so far !

PS: Here's a guess to explain your 17 + 17 loss : not blocking Den-OC with your useless reds ?

Yes, I think you are right.
In the game, I thought about playing Den-Okl, but then I didn't believe that Mudda could play 10 green. Without 10 green I would have had time for one more move and then without 4 red would have been slightly better (I thought). Clearly, my thinking was not correct...

We all know that Camerons favourite job in this lobby is to amuse the players but (besides we know his words are untrue!) let me tell ya one funny story:
I played Baron that one day with the following tix:
LA-Miami and Duluth El Paso. He had some middle tix, donnow which...
My Kotay-start: Played 6 black, then 6 Orange and Baron asked "need some whites?" cause he had 10 or 11...
Of course I built to San Francisco and could lay my track to Miami finally. Then the great final: in the last 3 moves Baron lay down 6 white and 4 white to Chicago before remaining 3 or 4 other colours on hand...
I put 3 purple to Salt Lake and with 4 Lokos in very last turn finished to San Fran, had longest and both fulfilled and WOOOOOOOOOON
Nothing for ungood (I like this Genglish: one more example? here we are: I saw the tiger fast up she tocoming - ich sah den Tiger schnell auf sie zukommen)
Gosh - why do I not remember my losses vs Baron, only the victorys? Cause they are much more sweater? Cause they are lead by gods hand? NO - CAUSE THEY ARE PRETTY MUCH MORE OFTEN...

Hi,
I played my games against thekid at 5am this morning *yaaaaawn*
and I won 4:1
As you can guess from the scores the first games were a real blockfest. Then it got a bit more constructive.
Luck was surely on my side, started 4 of 5 times, thekid usually had long tickets that could blocked. Overall very good games and a lot closer than the result might suggest.
