I would like to see more epic adventures as well.
I was very disappointed with the lack of epic scenarios in the Scottish Wars expansion.
Hope there will be some when the Heroes one day arrive...

Not to put too fine a point on it but I want to see an all Gobbos -- Pennants side -- epic adventure. I really don't care what's on the standards side. Wink

Well since you are the designer, hopefully it won't be hard to do and thus won't be long either. Of course, it might be nice to get a sneak peek and/or tentative date/info as well. (Gee, we don't ask for much, do we? <G>)

Just thought I point out a few items -

Well although it might have arrived, I'm hoping the quality of them will be improved IF this how things will be done for future Epic expansions. Sadly though, paper maps don't cut it when past items released for BL have been nice quality dual sided boards.

It would seem one of the reasons for these preprinted maps is to cut down on set up time - Sure I know some people say it takes a while to set up a BL board. I've found that once you get the hang of it, it might take 5-10 minutes. That is a small price to pay.
Sure other people might be slower, others faster. Each person is different. Sadly with preprinted maps, is that they only work for that scenario and if one wishes to do a different scenario, that map won't work (since it seems that both sides for BL are used, based on current info).

Based on current prices on the DoW, Epic BL - with a board, costs $15 and M44 winter/desert board costs $18. Unless costs have skyrocketed a lot (unknown about M44 board since it has been out of stock for some time), it would seem for a few $ more, a quality dual sided board could have been used vs paper. And thus also gotten maybe actual helper cards for the Troll to use for other scenarios as well.

I don't mind that DoW wants to print paper maps. If there is a marked for such maps, by all means do it. My problem is the inclusion of the Troll, in this "expansion".

The maps are for people who:
- Play Epic (which I do).
- And Have a problem with setup time (which I don't).
- And Play the same scenarios many times (which I don't).

While the Troll is for everyone but those who prefer BattleLore as a historical simulation.

This mixing of target audiences is what really worries me. If the Troll will be released on it's own, I don't care how many paper maps they publish.

As for Epic maps in general. I have been disappointed by the lack of Epic support in the scenario booklets so far. If I remember correct, there has only been one Epic scenario in those books until now. Scottish Wars was the biggest disappointment to date - such an epic title, but only standard scenarios included.
If just a single Epic maps was to be included in every second expansion, I would be happy.

I believe you are correct - perhaps. I seem to recall there was scenarios for Epic in Epic manual. I thought there was an official release of another Epic scenario after all of the goblin/dwarf releases but cannot recall what it was called...oh yes, the Epic 100 Year War for Epic Agincourt (#47A)
