Rules Clarification: The Ring Card Tue, 06 April 2004 08:05
In the rules it states that "for each ring card associated with a gem type of which you have a majority in display, you sell AN ADDITIONAL jewel of that type"

ONE! How is that a multiplier? Also, on the Quick Start Card, under Objects' Powers it says "add ONE jewel to the value of the sale you won"

Again we see the number ONE! I don't see how this translates into multiplier. The rule book is confusing cause it misleads you into thinking that every ring bumps the multiplier higher and higher.

Anyone wish to clarify?

It is a multiplier. You are supposed to sell a jewel - with many gems on it - if you win a sale. If you've played a ring, you sell two jewels instead of one, which doubles your score.

I agree its not the clearest wording in the word (I've read clearer rule books). Its a muliplier though and thats all that matters.

You use (many) gems to make a jewel.

If you sell, each ring is an additional jewel

So, a 10 point sale with no rings is just that.
With one ring, it's 20.
With two rings, 30
