I think withdrawn scenarios do remain in one's SFTF record.
In my SFTF record there are many scenarios that I have played that are no longer available.
The career database records scenario ID (and other data). For the record the scenario has to exist when it was played.
What does happen if the scenario is deleted or altered is that it may not be able to be replayed.

I think those gaps are from when you have unfinished matches. You start a game but both players leave the game.
But I might be wrong.

Or the gaps might be from battles that wouldn't load or crashed. That happened more often in the past.

From the quote on the wiki, it makes it sound like if a battle is deleted, so are the relevant results. I'm not sure why DoW would mention that if it didn't occur.

The wiki is simply that...a wiki. Anyone can go in and change the information, so it is not an official word on things.
That doesn't mean it's wrong, but simply because it's on the wiki doesn't mean that DoW said it.

Congratulation Mr Bluze.
Did anyone find out the clue to get the promotion.
A question has been pointed out in the French forum about the General promotion requirements.
Are the matchs in expert mode against Colonels (and Général) can be one of the solutions ?
At the beguining of the quest, all the Colonels (now promoted General) played together in expert mode. So we gathered, at those times, games and sometimes victories against Colonel and new fresh promoted General. It can explain the wave of promotion in the first quarter of 2012.
Now, Colonel promotions seem to be more rare. Maybe, because new Colonels play too much against lower garde players and don't reach an achievement based on the number of games and/or victories against Colonels or General.
Have think about this question ?

Interesting question, Mr_Simon.
If that is a criterion, it cannot be the only criterion. Example: Buidheo played only two Expert games between his promotion and his previous Standard game. Both were against Player1019937, who is currently a First Lieutenant.
That example doesn't eliminate the possibility, since there could be multiple criteria.
You didn't ask about this, but looking at the last 20 players to be promoted to Brigadier, only 3 of them were promoted after a Standard game against a player ranked Colonel or higher.

Hi !
Indeed, promoted just after a defeat in the league !
I have just came from France to tell you about my career, hoping that it can help you who are searching the requirement since a long time now.
Here is the detail of my career in normal online game :
west east med. pac. Total
AXIS Victory 41 37 31 32 141
Lost 22 13 12 11 58
Total 63 50 43 43 199
% Vict. 65% 74% 72% 74% 71%
ALLIES Victory 47 33 26 28 134
Lost 15 20 12 16 63
Total 62 53 38 44 197
% Vict. 76% 62% 68% 64% 68%
TOTAL Victory 88 70 57 60 275
Lost 37 33 24 27 121
Total 125 103 81 87 396
% Vict. 70% 68% 70% 69% 69%
Here is my whole expert career (only 15 max solo expert games) :
west east med. pac. Total
AXIS Victory 23 22 27 19 91
Lost 18 11 14 9 52
Total 41 33 41 28 143
% Vict. 56% 67% 66% 68% 64%
ALLIES Victory 23 20 21 16 80
Lost 17 13 10 8 48
Total 40 33 31 24 128
% Vict. 58% 61% 68% 67% 63%
TOTAL Victory 46 42 48 35 171
Lost 35 24 24 17 100
Total 81 66 72 52 271
% Vict. 57% 64% 67% 67% 63%
Finally, here is my expert career since Colonel :
west east med. pac. Total
AXIS Victory 13 20 25 17 75
Lost 14 7 14 9 44
Total 27 27 39 26 119
% Vict. 48% 74% 64% 65% 63%
ALLIES Victory 13 18 21 14 66
Lost 11 10 8 8 37
Total 24 28 29 22 103
% Vict. 54% 64% 72% 64% 64%
TOTAL Victory 26 38 46 31 141
Lost 25 17 22 17 81
Total 51 55 68 48 222
% Vict. 51% 69% 68% 65% 64%
I played 396 online game... So probably 400 is not the requirement. On the other hand, during my time as a colonel, I played 5 solo games... Which make 401 games played as a colonel on official scenario... Maybe a coincidence.
I was promoted colonel the 17th of may 2012... So it took me exactly 6 month to General as I have been promoted the 18th of november. Again, probably a coincidence... Definitely not a one year requirement anyway... But 6 months ?..
Well, more questions, and still no answer :s... A great mistery. I hope my information can help .
Before my flight back, maybe I could enjoy a billiard game or two with some of you . Of course, I brought you some champaign crates to thank you for all the clues I found there .
Please enjoy .
See you on the battlefield

What a nice way to welcome newcomers !
I still don't know how I got in.
Let's see what I did since I became a colonel :
- 397 fights on official maps (including Warsaw, Rhzev, Tunisia and so on) ;
- 287 wins on those maps ;
EDIT :
- at least 5 wins for each side, each front on official maps, those wins being on at least 3 different maps for each front.
- I have won at least 3 maps with both axis and allies on each front.
- 251 fights on expert maps ;
- 171 wins overall (lots against Johnny !)
- at least 35 wins on each front, at least 15 wins on each side per front ;
- wins with each side on at least 9 different maps per front ;
- wins on at least 10 different maps for each side, each front ;
- about 55 wins over "real" players ;
- more than 20 wins over different high ranked players (from Lt Colonel to general) on expert maps ;
- I gave an evaluation of maps played each time I was not forgetting to give a rating (overall : few 1 star, lots of 2 stars, little bit more than few 3 stars) ;
- as a colonel, I think I have beaten at least one person of each rank from cadet to general (expert or normal map).
- as a colonel, on expert & official maps, I believe I have more than 100 wins over more than 30 different Lt colonels and above (I haven't checked what is the exact figure) since I became a colonel.
EDIT : thanks for your messages anyway !

Thank you.

New cake, and other snacks, at the side table. And some whipped cream, regular and the "whipped" cream, genuine spanish leather whips used.

Thank you both, Phread and Helcat!
Well, Mark, the reason why it took me so long to join this gentleman's club is because the bar wasn't serving but alcohol drinks until recently. It was only a few days ago that I convinced the manager to provide generous milk glasses to those who, like myself, have been celebrating Anthony Burgess's "Clockwork Orange" half a century
So, next round of Milk-plus is on me! Bartender!!

Clearly, you were talking with the ones who spiked their milkshakes when I got in. The barkeep sometimes does have a heavy hand. His milkshake brings all the boys to the yard, and some of them haven't been seen since.
In any case, welcome to the club, Andre. Well earned!
And welcome, also, Valentin.

Hello good Sirs,
I'm glad to (finally) get admittance to this esteemed establishment. Thanks to all who played me, especially those who lost
For those who are still figuring out what it takes to get promoted to general: what tipped the balance (in my opinion) were the victories at Viipuri in preparation for the Eastern Front tournament.
@ Jeronimon : I'm looking forward for an M44 tournament somewhere in the Netherlands. I'm counting on you and Erik to get that tournament to the same level as the one at Louvain.
Greetings to all!
See you on the battlefield!
