Missing pieces Mon, 08 June 2015 15:36
Long story short, I sent a support ticket in two weeks ago and heard nothing back.

Ticket#: 2015052710000297

I sent a second ticket. Heard nothing.

Ticket#: 2015060310000277

I ordered the game from Barnes and Noble with express shipping. Received it almost a week late. Any day it didn't come hurt because of how much I wanted to play it. The day came, it finally arrived. I was so stoked to finally play the game. Open the box. The board and manual look so cool!

Move the board and notice that there were ZERO army units. No artillery. No tanks. No men. Nothing. The compartments were empty. I still have not been able to play a game I've been so stoked about for almost three weeks. This is getting ridiculous. Someone please hear me and help me.

If I recall correctly, the figures were enclosed in separate clear plastic containers.

So you are stating that no such containers came packed with your game?

Is this the link that you reported your problem to?

I am sure DOW will try and help you although I am not sure how long it may take.

Perhaps as a last resort, you may try and address your issue with Barnes & Noble?

The indents are there for plastic containers. I didn't have any clear containers. That is the link I submitted my request to too.

A few things that I find myself wondering, though I'm sure you already thought of them.

~ Was this a used copy of the game from Barnes and Noble? Was the box still in shrink?

If it was still in shrink, then somehow the game was packed by Days of Wonder manufacturers without any of the troops. It could happen but would be the first time I've heard of that.

If it wasn't in shrink (was a used copy) then it's a problem that Barnes and Noble will be able to handle better. They can give you your money back or send you a replacement of the game. DoW will probably still help you, but it wouldn't be their fault someone sent you a used game without all the pieces.

That's the weird thing, it was still in shrink. I'm very disheartened that no one has at least responded to my ticket from Day of Wonder.

A local store had a shrink wrap machine, so it is possible for that game to have been opened and then been shrink wrapped again.

I am not sure if Barnes & Nobles deals in used items.

Don't worry, DoW has one of the best customer service teams in the board game industry! I know that their main customer service person has been on an adventure lately, so they might just be working their way through a back-log of tickets. I'm sure you'll get sorted out shortly! Very Happy
