City Spellings Fri, 23 June 2017 21:36
This may be a strange or stupid question, but is there anywhere that I can get a list of the spellings of the cities used (specifically TTR Germany)? Because some cities are spelled differently or with or without umlauts in different countries and the fonts on the boards are sometimes hard to read (especially when looking at the board in the instructions online), I would like to know what spellings are used. Thanks.

That wouldn't answer my question, because my question is specific to which spellings are used on the board for this game, but I still appreciate the response.

Hello Njsokalski,

I don't have the board version of TTR Germany (I certainly intend to buy it, of course), but I have TTR Germany on smartphone.
The way the names of the cities are spelled in the app is the way those cities are written in German.

Regards,
Erik.

I guess that has to be considered the answer, although it would be nice to know exactly what that means, since sometimes it can mean multiple things and can be hard to interpret. But I think you gave the best general answer that I can expect. The ones that I am still having trouble figuring out based on the online instruction (because the image of the map is not high enough resolution) are the countries, so if I could ask one last favor, could you tell me the spellings for the countries? I think I managed to now figure out the rest. Thanks again for all your help.

The names of the countries are also written in German.

Greets,
Erik.
