Air Pack Tue, 09 January 2018 20:02
Hi!

Does anybody have an Air Pack they would like to sell? Or does anyone know where I can purchase the Air Pack?

Thanks!

You should try ebay. From time to time is available there. But be warned you will likely spend $ 200

If you just want the rules and scenario's and can find replacement models for the planes you can buy the book online in the store

https://www.daysofwonder.com/en/buy/ (look at the digital games section)

Yes, you could totally piece together everything if you wanted to. The file is the booklet and the punch-board, which includes the terrain tiles and markers/badges. You could download and print the summary cards, if you haven't already. All you would need is 8 planes and some printing work done. Good luck!

Revell make a 1:144 scale 'Micro Wings' series which include Spitfire, Hurricane, Bf 109, Wildcat, Tempest etc. These are slightly too big for a hex but still work, are great fun to make and look a lot better than the planes that came with the Airpack. Worth a look if you like modelling!

Do not despair, a new Air Sortie expansion is scheduled for sometime soon, well maybe not that soon, but it is on the near Horizon.

It will be and most certainly will be a seamlessly fit into all our Memoir '44 game scenarios. This is in fact is how I originally imagined it would always be. Air rules that were simple and yet they would be a very interesting and fun way to add another very cool feature into our Memoir '44 games.

Let the comments and discussion began...

Where can I pre-order? Cool
A new expansion is always a good thing. Will it be very different from the previous Airpack?

Antoi, the only new expansion that has been officially announced is the Jungle & Desert one, which is scheduled to arrive in April. In the past few days, on another thread, somebody posted a link to one online store that's listed it.

Richard is saying that, as far as he knows, DOW doesn't have a firm date: "Do not despair, a new Air Sortie expansion is scheduled for sometime soon, well maybe not that soon, but it is on the near Horizon."

I have no information other than Richard's quote above. Since such a large percentage of games and gifts is bought for Christmas, I'll wish for Holiday season 2018, though it could easily be sometime in 2019, for example.

These are wonderful news. Trying interpret Mr Borg words here: considering the backward compatibility it seems to me that it will be more likely a deck expansion than an minis expansion.
