Days of Wonder™ Announces upcoming release of Gang of Four™ card game
Popular Chinese card game to launch in U.S and Europe
Sausalito, CA; Paris, France - October 1, 2002 - Days of Wonder, Inc. announced today that it is publishing Gang of Four, an exciting card game from Hong Kong that is one of the most popular in Asia. Gang of Four conveys all the mystery, intrigue and power of China. Filled with an endless variety of strategies and tactics, the game is fun, entertaining and full of surprises, yet is simple to learn and play. The premise of the game is simple - to be the first to rid yourself of all your cards and ascend to supreme power. But a strategic misstep will find a player in a struggle to survive.

Gang of Four is played with three or four players, and while strategies are numerous, the game is easy to learn, and appropriate for anyone 8 years or older. The game play is reminiscent of Choh Dai Di, one of the most infamous of backstreet Hong Kong gambling games. The object of the game is to be the first to get rid of all of your cards, by playing stronger cards on top of your opponents. Cards can be played singly, in pairs, three of a kind or in five-card poker hand combinations. The most powerful play is the Gang of Four (four of a kind), which trumps all cards.
Release Dates and Online Play
Gang of Four will be released in Europe and the U.S. in November 2002 with both French and English language editions. Additionally, an online version of play at www.gangoffour.com will also launch this fall. Purchasers of Gang of Four will receive a Days of Wonder Webcard that provides free access to Gang of Four online where they can play against other opponents, compete in tournaments, measure their online rank, and schedule online play with their friends.
