Days of Wonder announces Ticket to Ride Europa 1912
Features new Warehouse & Depot game elements, plus new European Destination Tickets
Los Altos, CA; Paris, France - August 6, 2009. Today, Days of Wonder announced the upcoming release of Ticket to Ride Europa 1912, a new expansion for the best selling Ticket to Ride game series. This expansion introduces Warehouses & Depots - new game rules and pieces that create an additional strategic layer and can be played on any of the Ticket to Ride maps. Throughout the game, Train cards will regularly be added to Warehouses. Players who have the foresight, clever timing, or just plain luck to build a route to a city marked with a Train Depot can make off with a fistful of Train cards. Depot placement and skillful Warehouse tactics become a key part of a winning Ticket to Ride strategy!
The 55 new Destination Tickets in Ticket to Ride Europa 1912 enable 3 new variants to the Ticket to Ride Europe map: Europe Expanded, which adds 19 new routes to the original 46; Big Cities of Europe, with destinations that only feature 9 major European cities; and Mega Europe, which uses all the new routes as well as the 46 original Destination Tickets.
Ticket to Ride Europa 1912 is designed for 2-5 players, ages 8+ and includes: 5 Player Warehouses; 25 Train Depots in 5 matching colors; 101 Ticket to Ride Europe Destination Tickets, including 55 new and 46 original tickets; and a Rules Booklet in English, German, French, Spanish, Dutch, Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, and Finnish. An original copy of any complete game in the Ticket to Ride series is needed to play with the new Warehouses & Depots rules. New Destination Tickets are for use only with Ticket to Ride Europe. Ticket to Ride Europa 1912 is expected to be available worldwide in October, 2009. MSRP is $20/€15.
