Days of Wonder announces new Ticket to Ride® 10th Anniversary Edition
Giant version features a newly illustrated, oversized USA board map and new custom train sets stored in special tin train boxes
Los Altos, CA; Paris, France – February 13, 2014. Today, Days of Wonder announced a new version of their award-winning train adventure board game, the Ticket to Ride® 10th Anniversary Edition. First introduced in 2004, Ticket to Ride has delighted board game fans worldwide, selling over 3 Million copies during the past decade.
Celebrating the game's decade of success, the Ticket to Ride 10th Anniversary Edition comes in an oversize game box featuring a new cover design and graphics. It includes a giant US board map, a full 50% larger than the original. Players will still travel the classic US routes, but on a map that features brand new illustrations and design. There are 5 sets of finely sculpted custom plastic trains, each featuring a different type of train car and unique paint scheme reminiscent of toy trains of yesteryear. These are nestled in 5 tin train storage boxes, each with their own custom logo and artwork matching the trains' rail line. Also included are 110 large format Train cards and 69 Destination Tickets – all of the original US map tickets, plus those from the USA 1910 expansion.
