40K conversion Tue, 11 December 2007 10:16

Hi guys,
I'm toying with the idea of a 28mm Battlelore set with Warhammer 40K miniatures. I tried with the Warhammer miniatures, wich seems a more logival choice, but the "look" of 4 single pieces doesn't really stand for a regiment, while the squad approach of 40k makes the 4 men in a hex far more enjoyable. I plan to mix M44 and Battlelore and write a set of rules, probably with handmade cards (I did the same some months ago for a Battle Cry variant for the Crimean War)and all of the bits, like trenches, terrain and so on.
I'm building 2 army and my choice would be Imperial Guard and Necrons to start things off.
Did someone tried it already? Do you have any clues for the rules? Should the Kaserkin be bold? Or maybe the Necrons (basically they are undead, so maybe that's appropriate)? Every suggestion is welcome.
