I'm surprised there's no thread yet. Did they just go up?
Anyways, congrats to Brice and DoW for a major set of changes that seem to be mostly improvements including many of the suggestions we users had over the years.
I've only played one game of TTR under the new system, but I like what I see so far.
Access to Switzerland, etc from web version - YEAH!
Bigger chat box in lobby - YEAH!
Exact count of your own color cards (is that the right name?) - YEAH!
Better control over users and guests and such joining/observing games you create - YEAH!
Ability to let others start (useful for tournaments) - YEAH!
Only glitch I've seen in my very limited play so far: When I start a game and others have joined, I can click on their name which appears to allow me to kick them from the game, make them my buddy or on my ignore list. Good. EXCEPT, it seems to default to kicking folks from the game, so I accidentally kicked my first opp from the game. I had to restart the game so she could join again (at least that appears to be the case from the messages that appeared), and I repeated my actions, but tried to be more careful to not have the 'kick' line selected when I released the button (I had no line selected). It still kicked my opp. If this is in fact how the system currently works, I would suggest adding another line - something like "No action" or "Cancel", and make that the default.
My other request is that at some point you release more maps/variants for TTR, and more of your games in online versions. Hopefully you are working on these
Thanks again for the improvements!
