Painted Minis Wed, 26 March 2014 13:25
Hi All,

I have started to paint my figures and I am looking for some ideas about the colors to use for each. I am very happy with my US soldiers (USMC look) so far but the Germans I'm not sure about. I was planning on specializing them but not sure what will work the best...any ideas or pics would be great Smile

Its still pretty rough but I havent done much painting so this is still pretty new to me. I only have my Germans painted black, they will be a little tougher to paint as they are crouching and are smaller minis.

Hi,

This is the best link I've found so far about painting minis: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/1064273/finally-memoir-4 4-fully-painted-627-miniatures-44

You can also surf on M44 Facebook Page (not DOW, but the one created by Jesse Rasmussen). There is a guy there who publish his work quite often.

Good luck !

Buy a can of spray primer from Army Painter for example

spray the base colour for each army
if you can be arsed add face and hands, helmet, gun but otherwise
just cover that with a wash (eg Vallejo) then varnish

will look loads better

ps
I am no painting expert but those figures are way too covered in thick crappy paint. Use better paints and thin it down. But a colour spray primer and wash is the easiest way to recolour your units and get a decent look without any need for hand eye coordination
