These last 4 months crowd funded excavations in Wijtschate revealed 130 body’s on a WW1 site.
Among the nations where German, British, French and even a South African Soldier.
The place was a German stronghold known as Hill 80.
Bunkers and trenches where found and a trench was even reversed as the British drove away the Germans.
Later the hill was retaken by the Germans and near the end of the war hastily left.
Ever since the war the war the site was untouched and now construction works take place.
An American university came over to Belgium to make a virtual reality scan of the site.
Later this year the findings will be presented in London and Ypres.
