We are new to the Ticket to Ride game and we have two questions:

1. Let's say that Player 1 has two destination cards. For one or more segments can they use a common track or must they use separate tracks for each destination card.

2. Is there a way to get rid of destination cards drawn on a previous turn? For example, your destination is blocked and there is no way to get there.

Thank you

1. you don't need separate track per ticket. any two destinations connected by your track are okay to fulfill that ticket.

2. nope, a ticket that is not fulfilled gives that amount of minus points. you can never discard a ticket you kept first because you don't like it any more. that is why it can be to your advantage to block a ticket you suspect your opponent may have.
