Groumph - The Violent Orc is leading contender in Fist of Dragonstones "April Foolish" Character Contest
Sausalito, CA - April 1, 2003 - Days of Wonder, Inc. today announced that during the month of April, the Fist of Dragonstones character creation contest would be seasonally adjusted to celebrate April foolishness. The ongoing monthly contest, which inspires players to create interesting and exciting character additions to the game, will instead reward the person who creates the most foolish Fist of Dragonstones character.
One early contender for the April title comes from Dragonstones player, Groumph with an eponymous character called: Groumph the Violent Orc...
"Whoever wins the Groumph card picks a victim of his choice and then proceeds to throw that players' screen, Dragonstones or liquid refreshment off the table; punches him on the nose; or kicks his kneecap.
Groumph does not help you win anything, but bidding may go through the roof in an effort to avoid his wrath! Once played, it is highly recommended that Groumph be removed from the deck to avoid triggering an escalating arms race of revenge!
The character judged the most foolish for the month, will be illustrated by Fist of Dragonstones artist, Julien Delval. The creator of the winning card will also be presented with the original artwork for the illustration. Players can download winning cards, or enter the character creation contest at www.dragonstones.com.
