Ticket to Ride® – Northern Lights is the next installment in the best-selling train adventure series. Players use their Train cards to claim rail or sea routes and connect the cities listed on their Destination cards.
In addition, they must keep an eye on the four, randomly selected, common objective cards that may grant them precious bonus points at the end of the game. Designed for up to 5 players, this new Ticket to Ride® game is elegant, can be learned in five minutes, and provides hours of fun for families and experienced gamers alike!
A word from the author
Ticket to Ride Northern Lights has a lot of similarity to the Switzerland map in that wild cards cannot be used to build non-tunnel/ferry routes.
This changes the game quite a bit and encourages players to build tunnel and ferry routes. One basic strategy is to build a route from Bergen to Oslo to Stockholm to Helsinki and then draw more tickets, expanding your route north or south to specific cities.
