I agree with the previous comment that Example H *should* have line of sight from hill to hill. I also think that Example I should have line of sight.
Presumably, these "hill" terrains are significant hills, not just little grassy bumps on the ground. As such, two units standing on different hills should be able to look over the top of any object down in the valley. Alas, the rules clearly state that this is not the case, so we'll continue to play by the rules. It just doesn't make much sense though... |
COMMENT: I don't agree with example "H". Hill looking down into valley sees unit. Top of hill looks over unit in valley to top of next hill. There is clearly line of sight BUT attack should commence upon the adjacent unit (the unit in the valley) unless being attacked by artillery or armor because they have range as they are heavier weapons. |
