I have not played this scenario as a battle per se, but rather am lodging an observation here.
One of the hard things for fans of Richard Borg games is that, if you have played his previous endeavor "Battle Cry," then you know that BC allows a unit on a hill to have LOS over an adjacent lower level unit. For players of Mem44, it must be noted that there is NO such LOS rule in Mem44. Units block LOS, period. Terrain blocks LOS, period. There is no provision in Mem44 for units on hills to see over units/LOS obstructions (though a unit can see from hill to hill if there are NO units/other LOS obstructions in the way). For better or worse, that is the way it is.

I agree with the previous comment that Example H *should* have line of sight from hill to hill. I also think that Example I should have line of sight.
Presumably, these "hill" terrains are significant hills, not just little grassy bumps on the ground. As such, two units standing on different hills should be able to look over the top of any object down in the valley. Alas, the rules clearly state that this is not the case, so we'll continue to play by the rules. It just doesn't make much sense though...

COMMENT: I don't agree with example "H". Hill looking down into valley sees unit. Top of hill looks over unit in valley to top of next hill. There is clearly line of sight BUT attack should commence upon the adjacent unit (the unit in the valley) unless being attacked by artillery or armor because they have range as they are heavier weapons.
