Germany began its attack covertly, with a BEL ordering a combat engineer unit that eliminated three enemy figures in the woods by La Fossardière. The engineers would then team up with an infantry unit to attack the village, but not before the Americans inflicted heavy casualties. The exchange at La Fossardière set the tone for the rest of the battle, as each side tried but failed to gain the upper hand. The US in particular squandered two opportunities to break the stalemate. First, with full daylight arriving at Turn 7, it ordered B-17s to soften up the oncoming enemy infantry with precision bombing, but German anti-aircraft guns took down enough bombers to call off the raid. And then a TFH played on Turn 9 yielded zero orders. With the door to victory open (and the medal score even at 4-4) following the ineffectual TFH, German forces on the right, with the aid of Messerschmitt fighters, attacked the US forces defending Les Hauts Vents. The assaulting paratroopers fired mostly blanks, however, leaving themselves vulnerable to counterattack. The Americans then ordered four units with a Move Out Card that captured the final two medals for the win.

Cela provoqua sa défaite à long terme.

I elim 29 figs to 21 lost.
My Allies suffered the first loss as a center infantry falls to FIREFIGHT. I use 2-2-2 and bag tow German infantry on my next turn which is my 6th. The score is evened in the next German turn. The Germans are massing on their right and right center so I shift away from that danger and try to take out an infantry on my right but fail. A German AIR POWER does little damage.
The Germans push into the center from their right and kill off and infantry. I pick off a center baseline 1 fig infantry in return with my artillery. A turn later I finish off another infantry in the center as two prior German attacks missed. But a 3 unit INF ASSAULT kills off an infantry and the score is tied at 4. A German AMBUSH avoids a 3d attack with double flags. This allows them to pick up medal five in their next turn. I then miss a 1 fig infantry and things do not look good until my TFH orders two infantry and helps me kill off a German baseline 2 fig Combat Engineer and get 2 hits on another infantry in the center.
A center German Combat Eng is ordered by BEL and attacks my artillery but can only retreat it. It then moves into the woods on my right near my baseline and my 3 fig infantry. I move in with two right infantry supported by my artillery and kill off the Combat Engineer to finish the game.

I elim 21 figs to 26 lost.
My Germans faced a very difficult task as I lost my arty early and daylight came upon rapidly. Without it, I knew that the Allies held a huge edge. What was even worse was my lack of center cards and i would only play two the enitre game, a PROBE and RECON.
Late I played ARTILLERY BOMBARD to order one of my infantry and paid the price as COUNTER ATTACK killed off a 3 fig infantry with the two 2 dice attacks. This left me with 4 usable infantry as two others were down to 1 fig and way out of the fighting as they cowered on my right.
I waited till I had two cards. MOVE OUT and DHQ. I also had CLOSE ASSAULT and hoped to use that too. I was desperate enough to have one of my left infantry make a shortcut through the mines and found a 0 and 2 with 1 fig being lost. I held a 5 to 4 lead and closed with the artillery and got 1 hit.
An Allied BARRAGE then took out one of my 1 fig infantry. My last shot was a 4d CLOSE ASSAULT on the 1 fig artillery but that attack failed. I then lost a 3 fig infantry to end this game.

This time, the Germans advanced early and often on their left, but my Allies had just enough juice to defend. My artillery also advanced to the 4th row, but when the Germans managed to reach it, they were unable to hit it -- and the artillery was voted the Allies' Most Valuable Player, as it completed 4 kills.
The critical stat this time was that my Allies rolled 54d against the Germans' 29d -- though at least the anti-personnel dice percentages were roughly equal again.

Memoir Online League, season 15, round 5, game 1.
Early in the game, in a 5-turn period, I drew Inf Assault, both Center Assaults, plus a Center Probe and Attack. So, I took the hint and went up the middle. I was lucky that the Allies had a lot of early misses. And after I had knocked out three infantries in the neighborhood, my next logical target was the artillery, which had advanced to the 4th row woods. I was again lucky, when the artillery fell after just 2 turns and 8d. The toughest nut to crack turned out to be the last medal, as the last infantry on the Allied Right played hide-and-seek in the 5 contiguous woods.
Allies shot 38% (24/64) against infantry, Axis got 40% (20/50) against infantry, plus the 2/8 against the arty.

Since the beginning my opponent moved the most of his forces to his right flank. The strategy was so obvious that I acted accordingly and moved to the center and my right. I was also lucky when I destroyed his artillery later. When he then tried to attack on the center, I just crushed his troops. This was a tough and tense game, with an unexpected result considering that Germans should win.

I take the first loss as my center Combat Eng dies in spite of using AMBUSH. The battle opens on my left and center and I take a 2 to 1 lead. By my 8th turn I have two 1 fig infantry in the center and the Allies push forward. I play COUNTER ATTACK on their MOVE OUT. I also have CENTER ASSAULT and INF ASSAULT. Now is the time to push forward. I reduce three infantry to 2 figs each.
But the Allies play their own INF ASSAULT and move 6 units. Luckily the Allied fire is off and they can only bag one of my infantry. My CENTER ASSAULT orders 8 units and I take out two infantry. AIR POWER then picks off two of my 1 fig infantry to make it a 4 to 4 game.
I play INF ASSAULT and attack with 4 infantry and take out one more infantry before I play 2-2-2 and eliminate a 2 fig infantry. A close run thing and if not for my powerful cards in the end game things would have been different.

I had a plan but that went out the window with the great success of the German attack on my left. I shifted units over there to help out but got the worst of the exchange. I also sent troops forward in the center but the Germans were aided by AMBUSH (2 hits) and M & M which recovered 3 hits. I also played MOVE OUT in the midgame but only netted 1 hit from 9 shots on the infantry.
Soon I trailed 2 to 4 and later 3 to 5. I would use AIR POWER to take out a 1 fig infantry. The battle would continue on my left where I had one unit to three German. We traded kills here to make it a 5 to 6 final score. My arty did not play a big role as the daylight rolls did not come soon enough to help.

Memoir Online League, season 12, semi-final, game 2.
I started the rematch with a few nice cards: Move Out, BEL, Ambush, and a TFH that I drew after my first turn. With no hint of daylight, I used my Move Out to position some units, then used BEL to advance my rear engineer against the center-hedge infantry. Thanks to the TFH and follow-up cards, I was able to eliminate the 4 infantries on the right-hand half of the board (despite two TFHs from the Allies). A 4-0 lead.
I needed just one more medal to clinch the match, but it took several turns for me to get some Center cards so I could attack again. After some good 1d rolls, I had reduced the infantry in Bretel to a single figure. Just then the Allied Medics rolled up for the second time in this battle. Unfortunately, this time they had forgotten their equipment, so they were unable to heal anybody. My engineer and infantry took care of him. Allied artillery killed my engineer to prevent the shutout. The Allies had taken heavy losses. They were able to get one more kill before losing one more infantry in front of the triple forest.
Droopy had some problems with his dice: He rolled 43% (19/44), while I rolled 57% (28/49). Just as importantly, he had a card problem: He hadn't touched a Center card since the one he played on his second turn.
17 turns, 6-2 medals, 28-19 figures.
Droopy is always a tough opponent. Today, I was fortunate enough to be the winner.

I know that Droopy007 is never an easy opponent. He won both of our previous encounters. I was nervous going into this match.
Three of his infantries spent the first several turns coming up their left flank. When the engineer removed a mine in the third row, my infantries were lucky enough to roll 4 hits with just 5 dice, and on my next turn an Ambush contributed to a second kill there, giving me a 2-1 lead.
Combat then shifted to the center, with three consecutive German Attacks. I lost 2 infantries, the Germans lost an engineer. On their 9th turn, the Germans Barraged my 2-figure infantry that was threatening one of their 1-fig infantries in the back row -- but they rolled 1 hit and 3 flags. By sheer luck, I had just drawn Counter-Attack, so I successfully Barraged a 1-fig infantry elsewhere on the board.
We skirmished in the center, and each side lost an infantry. I had by now moved my artillery up to the 3rd row, so on my next turn I used a newly-drawn Artillery Bombard to pick off the 1-fig infantry in the back-row woods. And then I exhaled.
The dice in this game were totally even. Each side rolled 41 dice, all against infantry, and got 24 hits.
13 turns, 6-4 medals, 24-24 figures. Not a big margin of victory against this tough opponent. I'd have to play hard in the rematch.

Axis came forward, Allies moved to Center and met them (TIED @3). Medics only recovered 1 Allied infantry, then Axis made engineer-mistake leading to 5th Allied kill. Allies then sent one 2-fig inf to Left to hunt lone-fig inf. Axis used Infantry Assault to meet it with 2 units but rolled 1 hit and 2 flags. Allies Countered for the win.
Light never got past 4, and Axis was stuck with Air Power.
Light was below 4 until bottom of round 12. After some losses (AXIS 3-2), we both pulled back wounded and dumped cards. When Axis finally advanced again, they came up short on kills. Allies finished with Barrage.

Daylight came slowly and both sides burned off cards and made minor moves (full daylight was never reached as the range only got up to 5). I played two Recons to try and improve my weak hand.
I opened by attacking the Allied left and managed to clear it in spite of the Allied infantry being dug in for the most part. But I also took losses as my opponent never seemed the lack a card to battle on first his left and then center.
On my 12th turn I had killed the last of the center infantry except for 1 and lead 5 to 4.
After an ARTY BOMBARD had hit my forward infantry three times I used that unit to charge the guns and got a hit. A follow up shot by my arty missed. My 1 fig infantry was killed and it was 5 to 5.
I took another crack at the 1 fig guns with one of my infantry and my arty both missed both shots. Then my opponent played FIREFIGHT and luckily killed off and infantry with only 5d. I had COUNTER-ATTACK in hand and if I survived could have tried for the arty kill again.
Light stayed at 2 from Round 2 until Round 10, so Allies only had 2 turns to use artillery. On Round 9 Allies used Assault-C to step out of cover, so next round Axis was able to get two kills with Move Out! then one with Assault-C and two more to win with D-HQ. Light was at 4 (Axis had Air Power).

An online game.
This was an incredible game. The action started out slowly but heated up and most of the action occured in the center.
I was hampered by good center cards while the Germans made the most of their good cards. When the dust had cleared I the center I was traling 3 to 5 and in real trouble. I decided to fall back into my right with my last remaining infantry. As the Germans arty had advanced well forward I tried to keep my infantry out of 2d attack range of that unit.
Then my arty was hit once by the German arty and a later 1d attack against it missed-whew!! I pulled back my right infantry away from the advance of 2 German Elite Infantry. I used M & M to recover the hit on my arty. I then got a hit on the German arty after wiping out an Elite Infantry on my right.
After a German BARRAGE got 2 hits on a 3 fig infantry of mine and also retreated it to my baseline I used CA but my BARRAGE whiffed on the 1 fig arty. In my next 2 turns I would use FIREFIGHT and BEL to try and kill off the weak arty but 7 more dice also missed. Luckily my 1 fig infantry could not be targeted by the enemy arty (no orders) as a flag would have also killed it and ended the game.
I had used three of my best cards for no gain. But I still had AIR POWER up my sleeve. But first I used M & M again on my 1 fig infantry and recovered 2 hits which meant that I bought myself more time.
My opponent would then move one of his elite infantry next to his arty and a 1 fig Combat Eng. My AIR POWER wiped out the arty and this alone would almost mean a win for me. But I also killed off the baseline unit and an unexpected win is mine.
I had all but writen off any chance I had for a win here but my strategy of falling back paid off with the great end game cards I drew.

BGG SEASON 7 Rd 3 MATCH
Game 2 / Lose MATCH 9 (40) to 12 (50)
The battle soon began in the center and I lost the first unit here. But I struck back and killed off a Combat Eng. The Germans then used DIG IN. I moved up and took out a 1 fig Elite Infantry that I had missed the turn before but also missed killing a 2 fig Elite Infantry with a 2d attack. A turn later I missed the now 1 fig Elite Infantry but killed the baseline arty with a 2 grenade roll and lead 3 to 1.
But now I had no center cards at a key time. This lead to me losing 2 infantry in the center. A turn later my arty would miss a 1 fig Elite Infantry on the Germans baseline. I huge miss-I had missed this unit earlier and it went on to kill off one of my units. Then another 2d attack only got 1 hit on a dug in center Combat Eng and this unit used M & M to recover all 3 hits and then kill off an infantry.
So the game swung from a 3 to 1 lead for me to a 3 to 4 game. I finally killed off the center Combat Eng but this took way too many shots and orders which I could not really spare. The last few turns I spent moving units on my right which was of no use while my opponent hunted down and killed two 2 fig infantry in the center. Most of my attacks only got 1 hit or missed entirely and my poor hand of cards in the mid to end game doomed me to this loss.

BGG SEASON 7
Rd 3 MATCH / Game 1
There was very little action for the early game. I did remove 2 mines with one of my Combat Eng and then moved some of my right units into the center. I then attacked in the center as I had CENTER ASSAULT-INF ASSAULT and TFH. Unluckily for me my opponent also had good cards. I lost 2 figs to a 4 mine and then 9 shots of mine only got 1 hit.
An Allied AIR POWER hit my center forces hard getting 7 hits and killing one unit. My TFH ordered three infantry and killed off two infantry. But then I lost two infantry in the next Allied turn. My FIREFIGHT baaged another kill then an Allied TFH finished off two of my weak infantry to make it 4 to 3 Allied game.
I used BEL but could not kill a center 2 fig infantry with 4d but a turn later my arty would finish off this unit. I then halved a center Allied infantry but I lose a full strength infantry to 7d.
Another key event happens when my opponent plays AMBUSH on one of my center infantry in a hedgerow and gets 2 hits. This unit then finishes off the 2 fig Allied infantry but a follow up Allied BARRAGE closes the game out with a kill of my 2 fig infantry.
The Allies had an answer for my every turn and move and my poor starting shooting and the hot allied fire along with that AIR POWER was too much to overcome.

This time, I was the one with the unbelievable cards, and the Germans had nothing to respond with. I came up the center with a Move Out, Assault, Infantry Assault, DHQ, Move Out, and Attack. If it had taken fewer than 16 dice to push the German artillery off the board, it might have been a walkover. But the Germans came back from 0-5 with a kill on each flank. And they should have had a third kill, but their Barrage against my 1-fig infantry whiffed. On the following turn, my artillery picked off an infantry on my far right.

The Allies had a series of 9 turns in a row with notably good cards (plus an Ambush), and they were able to run two 1-fig infantries out of my artillery's range. Toward the end of the game, my forces were concentrated on the right -- and in fact, I drew Right cards after 5 of my last 7 turns -- but since I had nothing for the center, I couldn't pursue the fleeing enemy. The last Allied medal was scored with a Barrage.

At 5-1, I (Germans) couldn't finish him off; no hits on Barrage! and out of Centers, so he killed the one I didn't Medic. Slow daylight helped the Germans, as well as the Allies not having Center cards. I chose to advance on my Right (which wasn't wise-I'd end up losing 2 there). I pulled back on the Left. By the time I (Allies) drew Artillery Bombard, the German attack on my Left was already underway. German played Pincer and Counter-attacked my General Advance to kill his 2nd and wound some others.
End of Round 7, saw light increase to 3, and a kill let the Allies tie at 2. Infantry Assault-Center gave Germans 2 kills. I played Recon-R to kill his lone-fig inf in the forest before he could kill my third and last guy on the Right. If I'd moved my artillery forward-Right instead of Left, maybe I could have used Aritllery Bombard to snag two lone-fig units. But it didn't matter since Assault-R gave him 2 more kills for the win.

Online. 12 Rounds.
Few Centers meant I (Germans) had to go up the Right. Allies played Artillery Bombard to move 3 on the first turn. Light went up 1 the first 3 turns. But I misplayed and ordered artillery but didn't move it, so no shot. Glitch revealed he had Ambush, but I let him play it rather than cancelling my attack by my lone-fig inf. After losing 3 on my Right I had to bring up some more to get my 3rd kill to tie.
Allies Medic'd(2) his 2-fig inf on his L/C but retreated my units, so I chose not to Counter. He'd left the town, so Firefight killed it.
My Engineers were out in the open in 2d artillery range, and he put 2 hits on it. Light was now 6, so I played Air Power on his 4 units lined up, for 3 inf hits. He played BEL to kill my 2-fig engineers. I Countered but only got 2 hits on his 3-fig inf in the open. I misplayed the 2nd move and left my inf in the open, and my draw left me without any Centers.
My only play that could shoot was a Right, but this put another unit out in the open, so he killed both. I still didn't draw any more Centers, so if he missed he would have got another free shot.

Round 3, Germans advanced 3 elite on Right. I played Close Assault(1) for 2 hits. They followed with Move Out! for those 3 + engineer to get 2 more hits.
Light advanced to 3. I played TFH(3inf) to kill 1 and get 3 more hits. Germans played Probe-R to kill lone-fig inf in town and put 3h/3d vs inf in Center. Attack-C gave 3h/6d. Attack-C retreated my lead inf 3 spaces to forest, killed my lone-fig inf and put a hit on my 3rd. Germans 2-1.
Recon-in-Force advanced my artillery to forest on R/C and killed 2 units with 3h/3d. Attack-C hit and retreated my inf to Bretel and killed it to tie@3.
Probe-C moved US inf out of forest and scored 3h/3d to kill, and artillery got 1h/2d with its 1st shot. Probe-C moved German elite and engineer forward and away from artillery (no dice). Germans drew BEL. Light went to 4. Attack-R moved both inf out of sandbags, lead shot 1d, but artillery got 2h/2d. BEL moved elite to block retreat of inf that shot, and scored 4h/4d! to tie at 4.
Allies' Infantry Assault-Center killed lone-fig inf and hit and retreated engineers to hedgerows, and Took Ground (I had Close Assault). Probe-C put two hits and a retreat on my lead inf, putting it on the L/C line (I had 3 Lefts) but engineers did not take ground. Germans now had 4 Lefts plus Barrage. Probe-L rolled 1 hit on engineers in hedgerow. German elite on his Left came out of hedgerow and rolled 1 hit on inf in town. Probe-L rolled a hit and 2 retreats on engineer out of 4 dice, putting lone-fig engineer in town on his C/R line. Engineer came out of town to kill 2-fig inf to tie at 5.

Online. 10 Rounds.
After playing Recon-C I drew TFH, giving me (Axis) a hand of 5 Tactic cards. Round 2: 3 stars, made light=5. Direct from HQ gave me 2 flags on 2 dice. Allies Counter-Attacked for 1h/6d, incl. unit on R that came out of sandbags. TFH(3inf) scored 5 hits. Allies Recon-C came at me with lone-fig inf. Ambush kill. Allies drew TFH. Germans 1-0.
Axis: Move Out!(Eng + 3 elite) killed 2-fig inf in Center, and hit + retreated inf out of Bretel.
Allies(Light=6):TFH(4inf,1star) Every roll had a flag! 5h+9flags/16 dice for no kills.
Axis: Medics(3) for 1 hit.
Allies: 1 hit by artillery.
Axis: Move Out! to kill 2 in Center. Germans 4-0.
Allies: Direct from HQ got 2 hits in Center, 1 hit on baseline town on Right. Drew TFH.
Axis: Attack-Center pushed inf in Center to baseline, scored 3 hits on inf on my Right in open.
Allies: TFH(2inf,1star) killed lone-fig inf that couldn't retreat via artillery, 2 flags on inf in Center, 4h/4d on inf on his L/C line.
Axis: Pincer Move to retreat inf into hedgerow on Left, and kill lone-fig inf on Right. Germans 5-2.
Allies: Probe-R to reduce inf in town to 1 fig.
Axis: Barrage 2h+f/3d on 3-fig inf on baseline for the win.
My 5th tactic card was Close Assault, but didn't have a situation involving more than 1 unit in close combat.

An Online Game.
Well, I had great cards here. Plenty of orders and never in trouble. My dice were nice too.
My opponent played both AIR POWER and BARRAGE before full daylight and thus could only order 1 unit in those turns.
The battle started out on my left and with the aid of M & M-which recovered 3 infantry hits-got the upper hand here. I then killed off a Elite Infantry in the center and then a 1 fig elite Infantry on my left. By my 5th turn-there was full daylight.
A German TFH only order 1 infantry but it got 3 hits on one of my left infantry. I then used DHQ and advanced on my left and center and killed an Elite Infantry on my left. I then lost my left 1 fig infantry and the score stood at 3 to 1 and really ended the battle on my left.
With this lead and very good cards I played a conservative game. I advanced my arty up to a center-right forest hex wihtin range of the German baseline.
After my opponent lined up 4 of his units adjacent to each other in the center I played AIR POWER and got 2 hits on three infantry but whiffed on the baseline arty. Later 2 hits would be recovered with the M & M card. But this blow would prove to be too much for the Germans.
A few turns later I killed off a 2 fig Elite infantry with a center infantry and my arty and then a while later one of my right infantry ordered by BEL finished off a 2 fig Combat Eng in the center which could not retreat with 3d. Shortly after that I eliminated a center 3 fig Elite Infantry with the aid of a CENTER ASSAULT.

Online. I (Germans) had Lefts and Rights so tried to go up the Left, but light got to 4 on 2nd turn! Engineers cleared 2 mines before being destroyed, along with inf. Allies 2-0.
Germans couldn't get enough hits to make a kill, even by playing Artillery Bombard. Allies played Infantry Assault-Center and went on the attack. I struck back and finally got a kill on an inf in the forest. Allies Countered to get a kill in Center. Allies 3-1.
Allies kept going in the Center, while pulling back wounded inf. Last turn Allies killed a lone-fig engineer, then rolled 2 grenades on 3 dice against full artillery in the open.

Played Online w/German mines. Allied TFH and Firefight helped me lead 3-1, Right and Center. Germans then got a hit on my artillery in the open w/ pot-shot, so I played Artillery Bombard, then lost the 2nd figure when he rolled 2 more dice. It was dalylight.
Without my artillery, I was in trouble. There was little I could do about his 3 lone-figure infantry on the map. He got 3 unanswered kills (including 1 by Ambush) destroying me on the Left, and soon I was stuck with 4 Left cards. He killed another in the open in the Center.
Allies rolled 20% and Axis rolled 22% flags rolled this game.

Played Online w/German mines. Opened with BEL for engineers to kill infantry in forest 4/4 (6%). Americans played Artillery Bombard to move 3. I counter-attacked to move 3 into open. He came down in Center (9 misses vs artillery) - knocked engineers down to 1. I Medic'd them back to 4. He knocked them to 2 and killed them with Ambush. That was as close as we got, so I didn't get to play Close Assault.
Soon I was up 4-3 killing another guy on my Left, and 2 in Center. Light finally went to 4 (was 3) after I played Assault-Center, and range of my artillery was 4 so no attack.
He killed my infantry that went for that kill through my minefields by artillery, then next turn it was Light=6, so played Air Power against lone-figure infantry by himself (7 from artillery) for 5th kill. I finally killed lone-figure infantry on my right at artillery range, then played Barrage to kill 2-fig inf in Center forest.
We had same inf hit %, but he used 7 more dice than I did vs artillery (all misses).

Played Online w/German mines. 1st turn I moved up units, then light=3. 2nd turn I got 2 & 2 hits with engineers, then light=5! But Allies rolled flags on 3 units. 3rd turn my General Advance scored 2 kills: Left and Center, now Daylight@6. His BEL killed my Left lone-figure engineer.
I had no more Centers, but Firefight, so used Artillery Bombard to move up 3 in Center. He rolled a flag on it, to put in hedgerow but still 2d range. My Firefight killed infantry in Center town. His Counter-attack killed Center infantry and retreated wounded one behind hedgerows, which messed up my Right thrust(had 2 Attacks and 1 Probe).
I played Assault-Center to move infantry to Right, but this lined them up for Air Power (7 hits!) and tied at 3.
I still went Right with best 3 remaining. I couldn't kill inf in town, but he couldn't kill my lone-figure engineer. TFH let me kill it and score 3 hits on inf in baseline forest. He killed one of mine, then I cleared him from his Left and turned to inf in Center forest w/sandbags.
I decided to put lone-figure engineer out of his reach and fought with just inf on L/C line. He killed mine first and retreated my 2-figure infantry to my fourth rank. I drew Artillery Bombard again after reshuffle, and decided to play it instead of moving forward to 2d range with my last Center. I scored 1&1 hits against that 2-fig inf in the forest.

Played Online w/German mines. Started with good cards, which weren't helpful since light=1. Germans came up with Infantry Assault-Center, which I Counter-Attacked. Then I played my own to advance in Center. But it wasn't enough: I ran out of Centers. He had pulled back 2 lone-figure infantry, and my units were stranded and picked off. I was down 4-1.
My artillery advanced 3 to my C/R line. Finally, daylight, so I could play Air Power to pick off the 2 lone-figure units, and Barrage to destroy his artillery to tie. He played Direct from HQ and Move Out! to go after my infantry in the clear next to the mines and the one on the Left forest. I had one shot to win with Artillery Bombard at 3d range. I killed his lone-figure infantry in his minefield, but couldn't kill the 3-figure one. He got both of my infantry to win.

Played Online w/German mines. I moved up Center, got kill from Ambush, then headed to Right to clear Americans out. Opponent said he was stuck with Right cards. His artillery had advanced 3 to his C/R line.

Played Online w/German mines. I set up for Infantry Assault-Center. Then Americans played theirs to meet me. Ran out of Centers and couldn't get good shot with Firefight even after retreated to hedgerows (light was 2). He moved up artillery 3 but didn't get shots for awhile.
My lone-figure artillery (on rank 2) survived a close assault attack by his infantry though flag pushed it back. Just-drawn Artillery Bombard was dud on first, then rolled 3 flags. His artillery got a flag-hit on mine, and I was left with two lone-figure infantry (baseline + next to my Left town.) I played BEL to move full unit next to his artillery and inf in forest (got a kill) and drew Close Assault, but he had a Right to win.

Played Online w/German mines. Germans came up Center, then did General Advance. I played Pincer, he played Counter-attack. My artillery went forward 3 to my R/C hex so as to target lone-figure in corner, but I never had to. Killed 3-figure unit in 3d range (with help) for win.

Played Online w/German mines. Axis went up middle to kill 2. I killed 1 and retreated the rest. His Engineers on his L/C line were deadly against my guys in the forest. Thought I could hit his guy on baseline forest from hedgerows, but he retreated me, so I sent that guy to help out against engineers. Soon I was down to one guy on the Right.
Finally, daylight came, so I played BEL, followed by Barrage to kill 2 wounded guys on my Left. We each had killed an infantry by artillery so were tied at 5. He must have been out of Rights because he played Dig-In, rather than shoot his remaining two through the gap in the hedgerows or enter them. Still, I didn't want to send my infantry through the gap next to his two infantry. I used Infantry Assault-Left to send my lone-figure infantry in town to the far-Left town, out of artillery range shot with the guy in the gap, and moved my baseline guy forward 3. We were at a standoff so I moved one into the hedgerows adjacent to his, and the next took his spot at the gap. He retreated my hedgerow guy.
Meanwhile, I took a shot at his artillery and scored a hit. He moved his back, and I moved mine forward to the C/R line. He advanced an infantry into 2d artillery range, but I decided to roll 1d against his artillery and got a hit! Low hit %, but I was 2/2 vs artillery!

Played Online w/German mines. Had 4 Lefts, so I used Direct from HQ to start sending 4 guys up the Left - but got mired in my own minefields. Result 4-2, Allies.
He then killed an infantry that Took Ground into Les Hauts Vents. With 2 lone-figure infantry, it was just a matter of time.

Because of the Night rules, this game was a little like a sumo match. He charged at me, I charged at him, and we crashed in the middle.
After the Germans Counter-Attacked my 2nd-turn Assault Center, I played TFH and ordered 4 infantries. One of them killed an engineer with 3 hits, another wiped out a full-strength infantry.
A few turns later, leading 3-1, I was all set to do some damage with an Assault Cente rand Close Assault, when a German Firefight wiped out my two leading infantries. So I played two consecutive Assault Lefts, taking out an infantry in the left-center hedge and then one in the open next to it.
Stiff German resistance from the artillery, and then a Move Out, took out two of my Left infantries, though the third remained at full strength. But the Move Out also scored 3 hits on my Rightmost infantry and retreated him into the hedge. The score was now 5-5.
My previous turn had reduced a German infantry on my left to 1 figure. I now played my Close Assault and nipped it off the board.
