There are problems with this scenario: it cannot be set-up using the standard terrain tiles of Memoir '44 and the selected extensions. There are too many terrains of one or more types. Please contact the author.

Historical Background:
Whilst the Axis had over-run Yugoslavia in a matter of weeks in early 1941 it remained a hard place for them to occupy with a confused political situation and good terrain for guerrilla operations. The Italian surrender allowed Tito's Partisans to liberate discarded weapons and made Allied support from across the Adriatic a more realistic proposition.

In early 1944 the Germans decided to begin their 7th anti-partisan operation with an audacious coup; the 500th SS Parachute Battalion would land by glider and parachute near the small town of Dvrar where the Partisans had based themselves. There they would capture or eliminate Tito with his HQ and destroy the allied missions. Then they would await relief from the main attacking forces overland.

Briefing:
Allies - Yugoslav Partisans (with British, Soviet and US missions)

Axis - Germans

Conditions of Victory:
The Allied Missions are worth one medal each, Tito's cave is worth 2.

Medals are permanent

Special Rules:
Germans Special Forces are Glider Troops; the airdrop are standard infantry

Yugoslav Partisans - Tito Escort and Officer Cadets. Elite Infantry
French Resistance - Normal Partisans with FFI abilities
British, Soviet and US Infantry are the respective military missions. These are depleted strength as they are liaison, not combat troops.

Stream is fordable

Warning:
Please note that this scenario was not approved by Richard Borg or Days of Wonder, so you have to check yourself about playability, potential gaming issues, etc.
