Historical Background:
US troops crossed the Moselle river, north of Thionville, without any opposition but were facing Fort Koenigsmacker held by an enemy garrison. On the 11th of November 1944, 90th US ID was ordered to capture this old fort built before WW1. In spite of a local armored counter-attack made by three assault guns (Sturmgeschütz), the fort fell into American hands. US soldiers had learned lessons with the battle of Fort Driant so they didn't try to enter in the underground of the fort, they just captured all bunkers in surface. Fort Koenigsmacker was the only one captured by American troops by assault in the Metz area.
The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn, and you are in command. The rest is history.

Axis player [Germany] : 5 command cards.
Allied player [United States] : 6 command cards, you move first.

6 medals.

Special Rules:
- Use "Combat Engineer" rules (Troops 4) for the 5 Allied units with engineer badges.
-There was an underground network in Fort Koenigsmacker which connected to all defensive positions. The Axis player can use without limitation the movement ability of the Japanese in caves (Terrains 52 & 53) to send a unit from a bunker to a vacant bunker (or field bunker). Métrich 1 is not connected with Fort Konigsmacker because it's part of the Maginot line).
