Historical Background:
As a prelude to Operation Cobra, the 1st US Army had to capture the island of Saint-Germain sur Seves, in the middle of the swamps north of Périers. 90th US Infantry Division was in charge of this mission. On the 22nd of July, two battalions of the 358th US Inf Regt crossed the Seves river on a ford and made a small bridgehead south of the river. This area was defended by German paratroopers of the 6.Fallschirmjäger Regiment under the command of Lieutenant-colonel Von der Heydte. He ordered to Oberfeldwebel Uhlig to counter-attack with the 16 Kompanie , composed of only 38 men. Uhlig was reinforced with two MG-42, heavy machine-guns and a platoon of three tanks of the 2.SS Panzer Division "Das Reich". The two MG-42 were posted near the river and the ford and Uhlig launched the counter-attack on the 23rd of July by a pincer movement. Most of US soldiers were green because of the many replacements due to the battle. These green soldiers were terrorized by the fire of the two MG-42 and by the attack of the Fallschirmjägers and they surrendered. Von der Heydte, who was waiting for two or three US prisoners, was totally surprised to see a column of more two hundred US prisoners arriving at his Command Post.
The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn and you are in command. The rest is history.

Conditions of Victory:
6 medals.
Closet Farm is a temporary medal objective for the Allied player.

Special Rules:
- Use "Specialized Units" rules (Troops 2) to German units with Special Forces badges. These are the Fallschirmjagers of Von der Heydte.
- Special Weapon Asset Rules (SWAs 1) are in effect for the three German units equipped with a mortar (SWAs 6) or a machine-gun (SWAs 7).
- Use " Depleted Units" rules (Troops 22) to the German Tank Destroyer unit (Troops 24).
- Sèves River is crossable only by the bridge or the Ford (Terrains 41).
- Remove the card "Air Power" before to play the scenario (because of bad weather ).
