Historical Background:
In September 1943, following the Italian Armistice, British forces occupied the Dodecanese islands. The German command in Greece reacted quickly and prepared the operation Eisbär (Polar Bear) : the invasion of Kos island. On the 3rd October 1943 at the first light, special units of the Brandenburg Regiment landed on the beach of the Kamara Bay as vanguard of the invasion troops. The Brandenburgers reduced the Italian defenses on the beach and then captured an Italian coastal artillery battery. At noon, Brandenburger paratroopers of the 15.Fallschirmjäger Kompanie were dropped near Antimachia to capture the airfield occupied by British soldiers of the Durham Light Infantry Battalion. The day after, the battle was definitively lost by the Allies and on the 5th October all British and Italian troops surrendered to the Germans. Kos island was in German hands till the end of the war.
The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn, and you are in command. The rest is history.

Briefing:
Axis player [Germany] : 6 command cards, you move first.
Allied player [United Kingdom/Italy] : 6 command cards.

Conditions of Victory:
12 medals.
The destruction of the coastal artillery battery is a permanent medal objective for the Axis player.
The capture of the airfield (main hexagon) is a temporary medal objective for the Axis player.

Special Rules:
- Use "BCF Command rules (Nations 5) to all British troops.
- Use "Royal Italian Army" rules (Nations 6) to all Italian units. Don't use "Italian High Command" rule.
- Use "Specialized Units" rules (Troops 2) for units with special forces badges and for the five paratrooper units (Brandenburger units).
- Use "Blitz" rules (Actions 15).
- Use "Night Attacks" rules (Actions 19).
- Use "Paradrop" rules (Actions 20). Once the day is full light (level 6), the Axis player can dropped five special infantry units (Troops 2) close to the Antimachia airfield.
