Historical Background:
With the Japanese landing in Malaya and Thailand, the British Command in Singapore gave up the Operation "Matador", a British advance in Thailand to prevent a Japanese invasion, and ordered to the 11th Indian Division to take defensive positions at Jitra. Trenches and foxholes were full of water and mud due to continuous torrential rains and the morale of Indian soldiers was very low. On the contrary, Japanese forces were inferior in number but with a very high morale. Colonel Saeki, commander of the Japanese vanguard, used a harassment tactic with snipers and mortars against entrenched British troops. In the night 11th to 12th of December 1941, Japanese launched the main assault on the British right flank. Some defensive positions were lost , the others were under fire of the Japanese artillery brought closer to then during the night. On the afternoon of 12th of December, the British Command, not informed on the real strength of Japanese troops, decided the withdrawal on a new defensive position some kilometers in the rear. Colonel Saeki had won the battle, the strong defensive position of Jitra was abandoned by 11th Indian Division. The British withdrawal didn't stopped up to Singapore.

- Japanese artillery near the railway is a mortar unit with range of 4 hex (2,2,1,1).
- Use "Fordable Stream" rules (Terrain 61).
- Use "Night Attacks" rules (Action 19).
- Use Air rules. An "Air Sortie" card is given to the Axis player in the beginning of the game, the second one is on the pile.
