Historical Background:
22th of June 1941
Operation Barbarossa began. In the early morning, German infantry in assaults boats crossed the Bug river which was the new border between USSR and annexed territory of the Reich. Infantrymen of 18.Panzer Division landed quickly but were pinned to the ground by heavy fire of soviet defenders entrenched in land fortifications. Russian BA-10 armored cars intervened too, blocking the advance of German infantry. At that time,a new secret weapon appeared : "Tauchpanzers" (submarine tanks) appeared suddenly from the Bug river and opened fire on Russian armored cars as well as fortifications. For the soviets, it was first surprise, then the collapse. Land fortifications were captured, the german bridgehead as safe, the road to Minsk was open.
