Historical Background:
April 1945, the war in Europe was near to the end. Nevertheless in the Alps, French and German troops continued to fight for isolated summits. The ridge of Mont-Froid was captured by a company of 11th "Bataillon de Chasseurs Alpins", unit stemming from the Resistance. From this date, French soldiers kept the ridge in spite of the snow, severe cold and continuous enemy artillery fire. On the night 11th to 12th of April, Gebirgsjägers of the 100.Gebirgsjäger Regiment assaulted the French positions. Using flame-throwers to reduce the resistance of the East Block, the Gebirgsjägers captured all the positions on the ridge after a violent and bloody fight.
The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn, and you are in command. The rest is history.

Briefing:
Allied player [France] : 5 command cards.
Axis player [Germany] : 6 command cards, you move first.

Conditions of Victory:
6 medals.
Each "Block" is a permanent medal objective for the Allied player. A "Block" is captured when the 2 hexes of the "Block" have been occupied by an Axis unit.

Special Rules:
- Use "Night Attack" rules (Action 19).
- Use "Combat Engineer" rules (Troop 4) for the Axis unit with Engineer badge .
- The two artillery units are heavy artillery (Troop 3) and can't be moved.
- Trenches of "Bloc Centre" are at the same level that the watershed.
- No air support in this battle, the "Air Power" card is used as "Barrage" card.
