Historical Background:
August 15, 1944 marks D-Day for the Allied landing in Provence, the South of France....
Demoralized and reluctant to fight, the Germans offer little resistance to US troops but the beaches littered with mines remain treacherous....
Audie Murphy single-handedly destroyed several machine-gun nests....

This is an Audie Murphy campaign scenario, called "Alpha Yellow", by jdrommel, copied here to play in Memoir'44 Online.
AARs can be left here:

Editor 1.2 allows Axis minefields to work.

Axis player [Germany]
Take 4 Command cards.

Allied player [United States]
Take 5 Command cards.
You move first.

Conditions of Victory:
5 Medals.

Town of Pampelonne and the artillery bunker on the hill are temporary medal objectives for Allied forces.

Special Rules:
The minefields belong to the German forces.
Editor 1.2 allows minefields to work in Expert mode. Online they are random (0s, 1s, 2s, and 3s, no 4's).

US Engineers wear a badge. When entering a minefield they remove it instead of attacking (unless moved 2 so can't attack). Engineers ignore terrain defense in Close Combat. Engineers can remove wire AFTER attacking, but you must click on wire before leaving engineer.

Please note that this scenario was not approved by Richard Borg or Days of Wonder, so you have to check yourself about playability, potential gaming issues, etc.
